Debonair Arjun Kapoor makes for a good copy, only if he enjoys
the interview process and gets really thrilled about the questions thrown at
him. Mind you, ridiculous questions are a strict no-no.
One of the most talented and intelligent actors of the new
lot, Arjun Kapoor insists his experience of dealing with the media comes from
having seen his family members interact with the press at close quarters over
the years. He’s quite conscious – and is apparently bored – of the regular type
interviews.
Arjun left no stone unturned in
promoting Tevar, his next biggie and also a much-touted home
production. So, how to get Arjun to open up? How to make a good copy out of
him?
We can tell you this much. Don’t ask him the following 4
topics and you’ll be safe. These are the things that irk him most.
Skip run-of-the-mail stuff like, ‘What’s your character,
Arjunji?’ If you ask him that, be prepared for a cold stare.
A thorough research about his filmography is a must before
you approach him for the interview. Be factually wrong and you are gone. Did
somebody say ‘filmography’?
Don’t try to poke him for ‘quotable quotes’. Don’t get him
to talk about any superstar – particularly a certain Mr Khan with whom he has a
chequered history – just for the sake of a good headline. For instance, a
journo recently asked him about his Tevar character being similar to
Salman Khan’s persona. He still remembers that (infamous) journo and keeps a
close watch on the (hapless) man.
He insists you don’t probe into his personal life. But on
second thoughts, does he have a one? For instance, do you know who he is
dating? If you learn out, please let us know.
