Thespian Dilip Kumar was admitted to a suburban hospital in
Mumbai on Saturday due to a severe case of cough and cold attack. According to
family members, he’s suffering from pneumonia.
Sources close to the actor verified that he is stable now.
He’s getting better and responding to treatments well.
Udaya Tara Nayar who co-wrote the legend’s recent
autobiography The Substance and the Shadow, was quoted as telling, “He is fine
right now and he is on antibiotics. He was diagnosed with pneumonia but he has
been responding to the treatment very well. He is in the normal ward and not in
the ICU. He also had his breakfast and is recovering.”
Aamir Khan, who’s both a fan and a family friend of the
Kumars, sent out a message, “”I too have seen on TV that Yusuf sahab (Dilip
Kumar) is not well and he is in the hospital. We pray that he may get well
soon. I’m the biggest fan of Yusuf sahab, I have learnt a lot watching his
films.”
