Priyanka Chopra discloses why she was worried during 'Quantico' auditions!

Priyanka Chopra, who bagged the lead role in ABC show Quantico, in which she played a FBI recruit named Alex Parrish, disclosed lately that she was quite worried while auditioning for the show.

It seems that Priyanka has never given an audition before and the thought of auditioning for the role made her quite anxious. But, Priyanka cracked the audition as she landed the part and went on to astonish everybody with her role in the series.

Priyanka will be next seen making her Hollywood debut with Baywatch, in which she will share screen space with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. 

Wife Mira Rajput's only condition to marry hubby Shahid Kapoor!

Shahid Kapoor, who tied the knot with Mira Rajput a few months back, was shooting for Udta Punjab back then and the actor disclosed that Mira laid down just one condition for the wedding.

Shahid, who has grown his hair for his role as cokehead rockstar Tommy Singh in Udta Punjab, was also planning to colour it for the role and was told by Mira to not colour it red and to leave it be on the day of the wedding. Shahid further added that this was the only condition that she laid down and he happily obliged her.

Shahid will be joined by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh for Udta Punjab, which revolves around drug addiction in the state.

Farhan Akhtar to play a musician in 'Lucknow Central'?

Actor Farhan Akhtar, who plays a rhythm guitarist and a lead vocalist in Rock On 2, is apparently going to play a musician in his forthcoming movie too. There is a news that Farhan has been roped in for Nikkhil Advani's next production, Lucknow Central, which will have music at its core.

As per the reports, the movie is based on a true story of convicts who are sentenced to life imprisonment. Seemingly, Farhan, who plays a prisoner in movie, starts a band with other convicts. The movie, which will be shot in Mumbai, is expected to go on the floors by October-end.

In the meantime, Farhan's next, Rock On 2, also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai in key roles.

Film Dishoom is a comeback project for Akshaye Khanna!

Actor Akshaye Khanna, who had stayed away from the silver screen for quite some time, will make his comeback to Bollywood with Dishoom, in which he will play a villain and at the trailer launch event of the movie, the actor disclosed what got him thrilled about the movie.

Khanna told, "I had some personal issues which I had to sort out so, I couldn't work for a while. I am thrilled to be back withDishoom. For me, it was just one line of the film which was so fresh. 36 hours before India Pakistan final match, a major Indian cricketer gets kidnapped. Just that one liner is so interesting and fresh. And the fact that I kidnap him makes it even nicer. That's the reason I was interested in the film."

Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Dishoom also stars John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Varun Dhawan feels late actor-singer Frank Sinatra’s sprit!

Actor Varun Dhawan, who had shot for some portions of forthcoming dance flick ABCD 2 in Las Vegas, evidently had a paranormal experience while sleeping in his hotel suite in the Sin City.
 

Sources close to the actor claim that the suite in which Dhawan had been put up, had been a favorite of legendary actor-singer Frank Sinatra during his glory days and the local staff had said Varun stories about how Sinatra's spirit still haunts the suite. Though Varun laughed off the stories, it seems that one night, when Varun went to the suite to sleep after a tough day on the sets, he started hearing someone singing songs in the suite and even the door creaked open on its own! Unnecessary to say, this experience left Varun shaken, who is still unconfident about whether it was actually Sinatra's spirit or his own imagination.
 

It seems that Sinatra would often stay in the same suite, which was later named the 'Sinatra Suite', whenever he would come to Vegas to perform and legend has it that his spirit has not 'checked out' of the suite ever since.

When Aamir told that he hasn't taken up any international projects so far because none of the scripts he was offered excited him, Chopra told, ''I think it is high time for me to write something that excites Aamir now. Indeed, it will be wonderful to work with Mr. Bachchan and Aamir Khan in an English language film for the world audience. Let's aim for that.''

By the way, Aamir and Amitabh Bachchan have never worked together in any movie till date.

Allegedly, Prashant Patel, Secretary of Hindu Legal Cell has lodged complaint against director Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Sidharth Roy Kapur.

The movie provoked religious sentiments because of the scenes, which were reported to openly insult Hindu religion. One of the scenes was shot in the Chandni Chowk area of Delhi portraying Lord Shiva that has been wrong according to the viewers. An FIR was then launched against the team of ‘PK’, including the actor.

People have also criticized the Hindu-Muslim relationship that has been showcased through Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput’s on screen chemistry.

As an actor, you are anyways going to talk good about your film, says Anushka Sharma!

Anushka Sharma has all the right reasons to be overjoyed. Her PK has taken a bumper start all over and in the process wiped away the deficit that she had encountered post Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. With the movie crossing the 100 crore mark already, it is still going outstanding at the box office even on the weekdays.

Still, the fact remains that as a tactical decision, nothing about PK disclosed in the promotion. Though now it is known by one and all that the movie deals with God, God-men and religion in general, at the onset of the film's marketing and promotional kick-start, didn't Anushka worry that the strategy of keeping mum may backfire as there was a chance of audience not getting intrigued enough?

"No, and that's because the promo was appreciated a lot," immediately tells Anushka, "If the promo is not interesting then people won't come to theaters, no matter how much you bombard the marketing and promotion campaign. When you start talking too much about a film, it doesn't really add much because as an actor, you are anyways going to talk very good about your film."

She goes on to add further, "I don't think I have ever been interested in watching a film just because the actor in it has been talking so good about it. I make my choice based on how the promo has made an impression on me."

Well, guess the promo and now the movie have indeed made an impression on the viewers, what with the movie set to have a long run in time to come.

In the mean time, while Anushka has now scored big with Rajkumar Hirani, 2015 is already looking appealing indeed, what with movies each with Anurag Kashyap (Bombay Velvet), Zoya Akhtar (Dil Dhadakne Do), Navdeep Singh (NH10) and Karan Johar (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil).

Arbaaz Khan and Sonam Kapoor's Dolly Ki Doli a remake of Punjabi film Ronde Sare Vyah Picho?

Arbaaz Khan is flabbergasted. Ever since the promo of his third production Dolly Ki Doli went online (and fetched some very good response for itself), some mischief mongers started spreading the rumor that the film is a copy of Punjabi film R.S.V.P. [Ronde Sare Vyah Picho]. As has turned out though, the script of Sonam Kapoor starrer was registered almost three years ago (in January 2012) whereas the Neeru Bajwa starrer film was released in October 2013.

"The only similarity between the two films is that the leading lady dupes her groom, and that's about it. Beyond that there is absolutely nothing similar between the two films," informs our source, "As a matter of fact, even though the writer of R.S.V.P., Ved Prakash, felt initially that Dolly Ki Doli has been flicked from the work that he had put together, he was pretty content after being made aware of the core of the Arbaaz Khan production."

In R.S.V.P., Neeru Bajwa does dupe her groom (Harish Verma) but has a gradual change of heart when latter hunts for her and brings her back into the family. On the other hand in Dolly Ki Doli, Sonam Kapoor is shown as a serial con girl who takes Rajkummar Rao, Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat for a royal ride.

"I don't know where this is coming from, especially after Ved Prakash met me and I explained how ours was a completely new and original script while being registered way back in January 2012," fires away Arbaaz, "There is no room for speculation here. Just because the leading lady is a con artist doesn't make two films just the same. Ved too seemed to have agreed to the details I shared with him. He understands there is nothing similar between the two films."

When contacted, Ved Prakash too refuted all the speculations. He said, "I met Arbaaz bhai and he assured me that there were no similarities between the two films. He even showed me the proof of beginning work on his film way back in 2012. I was content with the evidence provided by him and was content Dolly Ki Doli was not a remake of R.S.V.P.," says Ved.
