Due to financial crisis, their last project Basra was fruitless. Nonetheless, Abhay Deol and director Navdeep Singh (Manorama Six Feet Under) team up again for the dark comedy Shaadi Of The Dead.

A close source confirms, “It is very high-concept, crazy comedy. It will be Bollywood’s first zombie film. The film’s tone is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge-meets-Shaun Of The Dead.”

About Abhay’s character the source includes, “A lot of prosthetics will be used in the movie. We are also be having an international choreographer on board.”

The source further discloses the heroine shortlist, “The director wants to have a fresh and interesting pairing for the movie. He is planning to rope in Kangna Ranaut, Anushka Sharma or Genelia D’Souza for the romantic lead.”
