Farhan Akhtar doesn’t want to compare 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' with 'Dil Chahta Hai'

Farhan Akhtar has explained that the story of his sister's 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' has no resemblance with his directorial debut 'Dil Chahta Hai', while Zoya Akhtar says it'll be a compliment for her film if it reminds people of her brother's movie.
'Dil Chahata Hai' was a quite a long ago. You see here three boys riding in a car. That might have drawn the comparison. That's really where the comparison ends. This story is way ahead and has much more to offer. It's also much more mature in the writing than 'Dil Chahta Hai',' Farhan said reporters at the launch of it online trailer at Novotel Hotel here Sunday.
'Dil Chahta Hai', one of the landmark movies, was about the bonding of three friends played by Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan, while 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' about a road trip taken by three friends.
Beside Farhan, the movies stars an eclectic cast of Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif Abhay Deol and Kalki Koelchin.
Zoya, who made her directorial debut with 'Luck By Chance' in 2009, has a sentimental attachment to 'Dil Chahta Hai' - she had worked as an assistant director in the movie.
'I loved 'Dil Chahta Hai'. I have worked in it. If this film reminds people of 'Dil Chahta Hai' and would go to watch it, it would be a compliment,' told Zoya.
When asked why the release had been delayed from May 30 to July 15, Farhan told, 'We are very, very happy with the film has been made. We showed it to a couple of people to get feed back from them. We debated on that. You can not just rush to release your movie when you are not 100 percent sure. It's always important that you take your time and make sure that your viewers love the movie,' said Farhan.
