News has it that the makers of ‘Heroine’ have taken a conscious decision to stick to a budget of Rs 18 crore. The film’s lead star, Aishwarya Rai has seemingly agreed to take a pay cut for her role in the same. Instead, she will get a share in the film’s profit.
A source tells, “Every actor including Aishwarya Rai, Arjun Rampal and even Madhur Bhandarkar himself have slashed their fee,”
“It’s a sensible business decision. Ash and Arjun will be sharing the profits of the film. They are confident of Heroine’s prospects at the box office,” he included.

UTV, the makers of Heroine, have a good work relationship with Bhandarkar, and so we guess there is no hesitation in taking a pay cut for a share in the profits.
Heroine is slated to go on floors on June 8.
