Rajinikanth's sickness and hospitalization did dampen the spirits of the Rana unit and Deepika Padukone, who's finished filming for the first schedule of the South starrer with a "heroine only" song regrets that she hasn't "shot with Rajni Sir yet."
The second schedule slated for June July 2011, though, is keeping Deepika nervous, and admits that she will be relaxed once she gets to film alongside the South super icon. And readily admits that she was "overwhelmed with Rajni Sir" and confesses that although the Chennai idol was seriously in poor health at the time of the mahurat, she really couldn't tell!
Apart from Rana, Deepika also has her hands full with Prakash Jha's Aarakshan, Desi Boyz (Akshay Kumar and John Abraham) and Homi Adajania's Cocktail that features her alongside Saif Ali Khan again.
Describing Aarakshan as being more of a "political drama," Deepika had gone to town over her unadulterated admiration for Amitabh Bachchan. Deepika says in a magazine quote, "Just the fact that I'm working with two legends such as Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth in one year makes it all worthwhile."
