Deepika Padukone who romanced Saif Ali Khan in two movies is looking to bond closely and strongly with the star as she feels that he has given her the much needed support and encouragement. She tells her films 'Love Aaj Kal' and 'Cocktail' with Saif are her best love stories. Speaking about Saif, She told, "When you are performing for screen, you get a lot of energy from your co-star as well. Saif is one of the most natural actors I have worked with and I wouldn't have been as convincing on screen if not for him. He has always been a huge support and encouragement right from 'Love Aaj Kal'. His production house has given me two of my best love stories. It is time now to take the association forward."
Saif and Deepika will be seen together again in 'Race 2' which releases early next year. She tells their film 'Cocktail' gave real Bollywood film when the industry is bombarded with Southern remakes. She tells, "There is no formula to a successful film. In the recent past the only films to have done tremendous business are South remakes or sequels.
However, 'Cocktail' has made its presence felt as an original tale," told Deepika, whose last big success was 'Housefull'.
Deepika tells she is for comedy and romantic love stories. She told, "Not just because I am a part of the film but also because I truly enjoy doing love stories. I am partial towards such films and it's nice to know that today not only comedy, drama or action films are doing well but there is a definite place for a pure love story to do good business as well."
