It’s just her 6th year in B-Town, but Vidya has been seen in different moods, in different shades in the movies. She loves to experiment and portray different characters instead of being an archetypal heroine. Vidya wants people to remember her as an actress, with her roles and not just as Vidya Balan.
Vidya prefers to be known for her work and not just as an individual. She loves doing a variety of characters of different ranges, and so she never has to fear of getting stereotype. She does not hold the opinion that only big budget movies can do well. In the past Vidya was censured for her dressing styles and being a bit over-weight. But Vidya has proved that acting is nowhere related to one's body size, it’s much more than one's figure. Vidya exclaims that women should be proud of their body, and should not try to hide it.
Women are meant to be curvaceous and should not run after the size zero trends. She is hogging into the limelight these days for her hot avatar in "Dirty Pictures" and Vidya tells that she picks up those roles with which she can identify and bond herself in real.
All the roles which she has portrayed till date have taught her new things. She has got to explore herself every-time. She concludes by saying she is fond of such roles which are lifelike and true and honest.
