There was a hired crowd to cheer Tom Cruise who is a Hollywood star at Mumbai Airport at the rate of Rs 300/hour. Tom Cruise arrived at Mumbai Airport on Saturday to be greeted by 200 eager fans. The time of his arrival was not made public and he was dressed in a blue colored shirt and sunglasses. There was much waving of banners and cheering and clapping and placards were seen which read "We love Tom Cruise". "Tom - Chak De India"." Tom Cruises".

Tom is promoting his new movie "Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol" around the world and is quite used to such huge reception. But there is a twist to the story in India, as all the fans have been paid Rs 200 to Rs 400 by the organizers of Tom's trip to India. The amount of money depends on how capable the cheer leaders were on past performances. The fans among them three girls were not sure who they were welcoming. The organizers of the tour had hired a specialized agency to arrange for the hired crowd.

An official from the agency told that the crowd has been paid Rs 300 and told to arrive at 4 p.m sharp. The Indian police at the airport are of the opinion that hired crowds behave better and less rough. The agency known as Wizcraft which has organized Tom's India’s trip has denied all such reports claiming them as false. Tom went on to attend a party at Taj Mahal Hotel at Colaba.
