Sholay, directed by Ramesh Sipppy, was a huge hit of yesteryears. The movie broke all the records. In 2007, Ram Gopal Varma directed RGV Ki Aag (the Varma version of Sholay). This movie was a huge error on Varma's side.

The director will now direct the Ramayana in Telugu. According to sources it has been informed to a news paper that the story of his Ramayana will be meaningful idea that will take the story to all together different angles, the public can associate themselves with the movie storyline and its characters. His thinking is that if those old days characters of Ramayana will be there in in 2011 then what will happen. Ramu is of the opinion that he will put all the big stars of Telugu cinema for acting in the film.

There is Dasharatha Rao who is head of Ayodhya Group of Companies. He ties a knot with lady namely Kaushalya. On a trip for business he gets close to a lady named Kaikeyi, ends up having nuptial ties with her. The film shooting is there in Andhra Pradesh, based between the conflicts of two big corporate houses. Ram Shankar is son of Kaushalya. Bharat Kumar is son of Kaikeyi. Dasharatha says that he will give the entire business to Bharat, not Ram. Dasharatha instructed Ram to be owner of a dead corporate of a far away place. Ram's brother Lakshman Shankar goes along with him.

The opposition party of Ayodhya Group comes into picture. Name is Lanka Group of Companies, director being Raavan Raju, who poses difficulties for family of Dasharatha.Brother and sister of Ravavan is Bheeshan Raju and Shoorapauna respectively. Shoorapauna likes social gatherings, society parties, is drug abuse. RGV says that instead of in anticipation, this film will not be a comedy or a parody.RGV says that it will be a very exciting, family oriented film being made in the way Sarkar was directed. The film will be made in Telugu then in Hindi.

RGV says that he will not hurt the feelings of the people. RGV saw the trailer of Telugu film Shri Ram Rajyam having Prabhu Deva as a cast. So he got the idea of making a modern day Ramayana. He is directing a film Bejawada in Hyderabad Then he will cast for RGV Ki Ramayana. The Hindi version will be very entertaining.
