The animated version of the 1994 hit comedy film Andaz Apna Apna is at last happening this year. But the shocking news is that, in the cartoon movie, the characters Amar and Prem, formerly essayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan correspondingly, won’t look anything like them!
iRock the company producing the film, took this decision to stay away from the legal hassles that could occur if they use the faces of Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the film.
iRock representative tells, “It’s true we aren’t making Aamir and Salman the faces of Amar and Prem. We truly would’ve liked to since the identification level of the characters with the audience would’ve been substantially enhanced if we had the original faces. However, our legal department advised us against it. So regrettably we are keeping the spirit of the characters, but not their faces.”
In every other detail, the cartoon version of AAA would be accurately like the original. A representative eagerly reveals, “I’ve waited nine years to do this film. We wanted to make sure everything is just right before we started.”
