'Heroine' delayed, Priyanka doesn’t want to replace Ashwarya!

The shooting of Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine' has been postponed because of Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy, but Priyanka Chopra has denied that she wants to swap Ash.
Aishwarya, 37, plays the lead role in 'Heroine'.
'At this point, nothing is more important than Aishwarya's well being and good health,' producers UTV told.
'We have all agreed that the best step would be to avoid shooting further, rather than proceeding with an incredibly demanding schedule over the coming months,' it told.
In the meantime, Priyanka has rubbished news that she might replace Aishwarya in 'Heroine'.
'Read some stupid article about how i wanna do Madhur Bhandarkar's film HEROINE... I think Madhur is an amazing director and. It'll be amazing to work together again but GUYS this one aint it!!! I wish him and Aishwarya lots of luck with the film,' the Bollywood star posted on her blog.

Katrina’s first appearance in live concerts!

It looks like Katrina Kaif has determined to discard her habitually solemn demeanour and have some serious fun -- by promoting her forthcoming movie 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'.
Her wish to be in the 'fun' zone may have lot to do with the company she is keeping lately, particularly her 'Mere Brother...' co-star Imran Khan.
A friend of the actress tells, 'Katrina found herself warming up not only to Imran but also to his wife Avantika. She felt she was part of a family.'
And the 'family' has persuaded Katrina to go on stage for what is clandestinely being termed the 'Dulhan' concerts.
A source reveals, ''Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' producers Yashraj plan to put Katrina, Imran and Ali Zafar on stage to promote the movie. Ali, who plays one of the leads, asked Katrina if she too would attend him for the concerts that would take them to several metros. At first, Katrina laughed off his idea. When Ali was adamant she wanted to know what she would do on stage. Ali suggested she join him to sing. And Katrina is game.'
As things stand, the concerts will be Katrina's first ever live concerts.

After Aishwarya, Lara Dutta declares her pregnancy soon!

After actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s recent declaration of her pregnancy, speculations are widespread about the other Bunt community lady from Bollywood, actor Shilpa Shetty.
However, she’s not alone as scuttlebutt is abuzz with news that the Bollywood actress turned film producer, Lara Dutta who recently wed tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi early this year, too is in the family way.
A source close to the couple reveals, “Lara and Mahesh have always taken things as they come. Though they have been busy with their respective work, they feel it’s the right time to have a kid. Besides, Lara has just finished shooting for Don 2, and is working on her next home production now. She may or she may not feature in her next film.”
Since it’s still in the early stages, the duo will apparently make the announcement only when they feel it’s the right time for it. “It is considered inauspicious to speak about the pregnancy until its completed three months. Right now they are really under wraps about the whole thing and do not want too many people’s attention,” tells the source.

Now next Big Boss is Sanjay Dutt, Salman is out!

Salman Khan is high on demand. Producers have been standing in line to sign Salman, but he’s so hard-pressed for time that he has to turn down a lot of offers.
Newest news has it that Salman Khan has expressed his inability to host the fifth season of the TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ because of time issues.
Salman is busy with movies like Bodyguard with Kareena Kapoor and Ek Tha Tiger with Katrina Kaif. After that he will commit to good friend Sajid Nadiadwala’s movie Kick, brother Sohail Khan’s Sher Khan and, of course, Dabangg 2.
Sanjay Dutt has taken over from his good friend Salman as the host of the show, with special looks in comparison to Salman.

Film Andaz Apna Apna will animate without Aamir and Salman!

The animated version of the 1994 hit comedy film Andaz Apna Apna is at last happening this year. But the shocking news is that, in the cartoon movie, the characters Amar and Prem, formerly essayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan correspondingly, won’t look anything like them!
iRock the company producing the film, took this decision to stay away from the legal hassles that could occur if they use the faces of Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the film.
iRock representative tells, “It’s true we aren’t making Aamir and Salman the faces of Amar and Prem. We truly would’ve liked to since the identification level of the characters with the audience would’ve been substantially enhanced if we had the original faces. However, our legal department advised us against it. So regrettably we are keeping the spirit of the characters, but not their faces.”
In every other detail, the cartoon version of AAA would be accurately like the original. A representative eagerly reveals, “I’ve waited nine years to do this film. We wanted to make sure everything is just right before we started.”

Preity Zinta says, Aishwarya is a dear friend of mine!

As soon as the news of Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s pregnancy was announced, there were many names that popped up to replace her in her forthcoming movie.
One such name was actress Preity Zinta, who’s fuming at news of her replacing Ashwarya, who reportedly is also her BFF.“I am very disturbed with these false reports. I really fail to understand why no one checks with me on its authenticity. (Filmmaker) Rajkumarji (Santoshi) is a close friend, so are the Bachchans,” she tells.
Zinta has always continued that Ash and she have become good friends over the last couple of years. Talking about their friendship, she had earlier told, “Ash is someone I can call a friend. We have kept in touch and shared our ups and downs through the years. We have always been there for each other through our tough times. I know that I can call her up anytime.”
Though Zinta is at present not in the country, she is happy with the news of Ash’s pregnancy. She has conveyed her wishes to the family personally too. “Aishwarya is a dear friend of mine. I wish her all the very best,” she tells.
Zinta plans to catch up with her BFF once she is back in town. A source close to the actor reveals, “She is very happy for Aishwarya and Abhishek. They’re close friends and she has known them for years now. Once she is back, she may take them out for a celebratory dinner to catch up on some much needed quality time.”

Displeased Aishwarya will Sue Madhur Bhandarkar?

One Heroine is extremely annoyed. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, that is. Amid speculation that UTV, Siddharth Roy Kapur and director Madhur Bhandarkar will face losses to the tune of Rs. 6 crore if Heroine is shelved, arrives the news that Aishwarya has been rather stunned with the "demands" that Madhur has come up with. Word has it that in addition to the smoking and waterfall drenched sequences, Madhur now insists that she perform "two item numbers" too for his film.

A source close to the Bachchans reveals, "Aishwarya has never done a waterfall drenched sequence in her career until now. Why would she agree to do one now? Besides, after the whole smoking controversy over Guzaarish, Aishwarya had made it very clear to Madhur that she won't be doing any smoking sequences in Heroine. Moreover, Aishwarya's grouse that the two 'item number songs' that Madhur mentions now, was never discussed with her when the script narration was done."

There is also tittle-tattle that Aishwarya is being dropped because she's pregnant and Madhur felt that she should have confided in him earlier. As per "reliable sources" the actress is considering taking legal action against Madhur and UTV on the grounds of "gender discrimination" and is reportedly "clueless about whether she's been dropped from Heroine or the film has been shelved altogether."

As per insiders, Aishwarya is more hurt since she had already commenced filming for Heroine.

In the meantime, buzz abounds that Priyanka Chopra has envisaged interest in showcasing Heroine when she learnt that Aishwarya was seemingly ousted from the project.

An insider tells, "Priyanka shares a great equation with Madhur Bhandarkar after working with him in Fashion . She's sent him an SMS message showing her interest in accepting Heroine and has no qualms over the smoking, drinking and intimate scenes required for the film. She's strongly urged him not to scrap the film and Madhur will take a call on this issue in the next few days."

Film Review - Double Dhamaal

Film Review - Double Dhamaal
Starring: Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey
Director: Indra Kumar
Producer: Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria

After Golmaal franchise success, Indra Kumar follows Rohit Sheety’s sequel mantra. Another sequel film Double Dhamaal has released with good collection but film is failed to leave an impact on audience. Double Dhamaal, follows four years after the original hit the screens; an original comedy made on a low budget, Dhamaal was loaded with crisp, clean humor and negligible vulgarity. Hopefulness levels are high, director Indra Kumar has a great track record for delivering hits and the plot is already in place. The foundation has already been laid. An intelligent scriptwriter just needed to build on it.

The movie kicks off where it had left, with Javed’s character of Manav. Manav, we may recap for you, is the one with the man-body and child-mind. While the last edition may have racked up some giggles in you, in this edition, he has decided to use the character of mickey Mouse, among others, to jazz up his look. Sorry, but no one is impressed.

For those who missed the first one, it was all about the crazy antics of Ritesh Deshmukh (Roy), Aashish Chaudhary (Boman), Arshad Warsi (Adi) and his dithering moronic brother Jaaved Jaffery (Manav). Sanjay Dutt is the crooked ex-cop who has now turned into a smooth con. Let the antics begin.

Even as this group of four of idle losers is desperately trying to think up innovative ways to turn millionaires suddenly, they run into their old foe Sanjay Dutt. Dutt roams around in snazzy cars, sports the beautiful arm candy Mallika Sherawat (Kamini), and even has a loving younger sister Kiya (Kangana Ranaut). What more could a man ask for? Time to get even.

But the losers seem to be having a hard time. Every trick seems to backfire on them. Will their luck ever change? Or is that material which producers Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar are squirreling away for the third part. We honestly hope not.

Double Dhamaal suffers from a dissatisfaction commonly found in almost all sequels. It's an overdose. Our characters don't talk, they scream at each other. Or they yell at the top of their voices. The blaspheme words are there in every sentence. Double-meaning dialogues, jokes with ill-concealed sexual innuendos, and from the first scene itself, our protagonists in a state of hype. They slap, they punch, and they kick. Visibly the director believes one can never have too much of humor.

The first half of the movie has been shot in Mumbai and has the usual underworld 'types' which includes a huge Satish Kaushik playing a don called Batabhai. Midway through the movie the dirty streets of Mumbai are replaced with Macau. Nothing else changes!

Just when one feels all hope is lost, the movie picks up pace. The story twists and turns and the last twenty minutes of the movie managed to evoke a few laughs.

Sanjay Dutt plays his usual goofy self .His clumsy stagger, straight-faced dialogue delivery and wicked smirks provide a much desirable break from the endless hysteria, a trademark characteristic of Double Dhamaal. And there are the insider jokes on hit movies such as DDLJ, Guzaarish and Peepli Live. The one on Taare Zameen Par though is in really bad taste. There's a fine line between being sarcastic, and being crude. Director Indra Kumar clearly doesn't think so.

Mallika Sherawat is seen gyrating to 'Jalebi Bai'. Despite the sensuous pout, the toned body and an adequate skin show this item number fails to titillate.

Kangana Ranaut doesn't display much skin and has really worked hard on her dialogue delivery. But there's precious little for her to do apart from being silly and shyly flirtatious that comes naturally to her!

Overall, it is an average film.

Sonakshi Sinha publicly declares her crush on actor Ranveer Singh!

Sonakshi Sinha publicly declared her crush on the Band Baaja Barat actor Ranveer Singh. She couldn’t stop gushing about the newbie and said she would have loved to date him, if he was single.
Freshly, at the IIFA award function, Anushka Sharma was supposed to perform with Ranveer Singh. The duo rehearsed for their performance, however, at the last moment, Anishka was told by organizers that Sonakshi was a better fit.
A source disclosed, “At the last moment Anushka was replaced by Sonakshi to dance with Ranveer. The organizers said that Anushka was not well prepared, and thus they couldn’t take any chances.”
Looks like Anushka really had a tough time at Toranto. To make matters worse, while receiving an award Lisa Ray mispronounced her name as ‘Anushka Shankar’. Even though Karan Johar was quick to correct that, Anushka’s expression said it all.
The actress, though, genially accepted her award and thanked Karan for correcting the mistake. Fortunately, things seemed to have lightened up for Anushka, when Ranveer, upon accepting his award, told, “Thanks Anushka for making me hot!”
