Salman’s emphasis on scripting and casting of his all upcoming films!

When you have someone like Salman Khan in your film, you can’t fully call the shots. According to sources, Salman is supervising almost every department of his upcoming films, including scripting and casting.
The leading ladies of his next No Entry Mein Entry Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley are being dropped. The actor wants Zarine Khan and Kangna Ranaut in its place.
Arbaaz Khan and Anees Bazmi also agree that Salman has a big say in the scripts for their forthcoming sequels of Dabangg and No Entry. For NEME, Salman and Anees have decided to carry forward the theme of unfaithfulness.
The director tells, “Men cheating on their wives… both Salman and I feel we can’t get away from that theme. It’s like the Superman franchise. When audiences go to see a Superman movie they expect to see Superman flying.”
Also, Salman would be the key character unlike in the previous edition.
Anees further addes, “He was a guest star in NE while Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan played the lead. Now in the sequel he would be the lead and the other two would’ve far less important roles.”
So, how will Anil react to his role being downscaled! Especially since the producer happens to be his brother, Boney Kapoor. Anees tells, “We need to be realistic. If Salman is in a film all other actors take a backseat.”

South star Siddharth is a Chashme Buddoor?

South star Siddharth

David Dhawan

Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar
David Dhawan is all set to remake Sai Paranjpye’s 1981 offbeat comedy Chashme Buddoor. While Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar has stepped into the role that Farooq Shaikh played in the original, Dhawan has now roped in Rang De Basanti star Siddharth.
The South actor, who was last seen in Chandan Arora’s Striker, is going to play the late Ravi Baswani’s role in the movie.
Casting for Ravi Baswani’s role was both tough and emotional for Dhawan. He discloses, “Ravi is the only member of the cast who is no more and I miss him. Ravi and I were roommates when we were both starting out in our careers. I had to put Ravi in safe hands. I had to cast someone who I knew would do justice to his part.”
It was Siddharth’s close closeness to Dhawan that landed him the role. “I’ve known Siddharth for a long time. He is a dear friend. And only a friend can play Ravi Baswani’s role,” told Dhawan.
Siddharth and Dhawan were previously supposed to work together in Hook Ya Crook (2010), which later was made with John Abraham in the lead.
Going by Amitabh Bachchan’s cameo appearance in the original, Dhawan also intends to bring onboard Big B to make an appearance in his remake.

Fighting with the bone marrow cancer, Lisa Ray declares come back in Bollywood!

She calls herself a cancer graduate, swears by the expertise of yoga and is penning a book on the disease. All this while Indian-Canadian actress Lisa Ray has been itching to return to Bollywood, which according to her is growing by leaps and bounds globally.
'India has started to make an international impact and we are going from strength to strength. The kind of movies that are being made now, the scripts...the way films are being made keeping in mind the global audience and also the technology advancements... It is growing by leaps and bounds,' Lisa said.
Ray, who made her Bollywood debut in 2001 with 'Kasoor', received critical acclaim for her performance in Deepa Mehta's 'Water'.
The actress was going strong with a string of movies like 'Bollywood/Hollywood', 'I Can't Think Straight', 'Kill Kill Faster Faster' and 'Cooking with Stella' when suddenly in 2009 she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma -- a rare cancer of the bone marrow.
But the actress tells she was undeterred by the experience and looks back at the phase in a positive light.
'I have been through a difficult period and I was very open about it. There are many lessons that I learnt during that phase of my life. I call myself a cancer graduate now. Now I am more prepared and enthusiastic about life. I am excited to re-engage with life,' she told.
The 39-year-old, who was born to a Polish mother and Bengali father, made her cinematic debut in 1994 in Tamil movie 'Nethaji'.
These days she is busy penning a book. 'Life has taken a new turn and I feel blessed and rewarded. I am happy to be alive. I am working on opening a yoga studio in Canada and also writing a book on cancer awareness.'
She tells the life threatening disease has made her realize the importance of life.
'After suffering from such a life-threatening phase, I have realized that life is too important to take it for granted. I take complete care of my health, I eat healthy, keep note of my medicines and yoga is a great help. The fact that I have always believed in yoga and have been doing it since last 12 years can be the reason I have so much hope and energy within.'
She tells that relationships have become more important to her now.
'I believe that relationships with people who really love and care for you help you survive. I have learnt it the hard way that one should give enough time to relationships that matter,' she told.
When asked about the status of her relationship with fashion photographer Paolo Zambaldi, she told, 'I am not looking forward to marrying some time very soon, but I am enjoying this phase with him right now. I wish and hope that life gets better after this.'
The actress refused to divulge details about her upcoming project but maintained that she is raring to make a comeback. 'I have a big project coming up, but it is not the right time to reveal this.'
'I can't wait to get back into movies with a nice juicy project. Though I don't plan anything, I will wait for something that really interests me. I am in no hurry to load myself with work and anyway I will have to wait for my hair to grow long to work in a film,' she tells.

Mahesh Bhatt wants to take out guilt from sex with ‘Murder’ franchise!

Disclosing that he never wanted to cast Mallika Sherawat for 'Murder 2', filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt tells that he is planning to make 'Murder' a franchise and will be coming out with sequels of the erotic crime thriller.
'We didn't feel the need of Mallika in 'Murder 2'. We never wanted Mallika back because unlike 'Murder', which was a woman's movie, this is a man's film,' Bhatt said.
Bhatt tells that casting Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez in the movie was a spur-of-the-moment decision.
'When we were discussing the casting, someone spoke about her and said that she had done a movie, 'Aladin', but it failed at the box office. We saw her photographs and she came to the office, we liked her and took the call. We never thought of anyone else,' told Bhatt.
The 61-year-old also revealed that he wanted to make 'Murder' a brand and would continue making a series of sequels.
'We decided to make 'Murder 2' with a clear understanding that it would have the key components that were in 'Murder', which is erotica, edginess and experience of crime and thrills. And this is going to be the brand of 'Murder'. We are not going to stop here. We are going to make 'Murder 3' 'Murder 4' and so on,' the prolific director told.
Releasing July 8, 'Murder 2', directed by Mohit Suri, explores the life of a couple, dealing with the uncertainty of their relationship.
'What I have seen is that problems of unmarried couples are more than that of married couples. That's what it's there in 'Murder 2',' tells Bhatt, who has made path-breaking movies like 'Saaransh', 'Arth', 'Daddy', 'Sadak' and 'Zakham'.
'The problem of Jacqueline is that she sleeps with this man, has the companionship of this man, he loves her but the problem is of commitment. This is the age where young people are frightened to make commitments,' told Bhatt.
In the last decade, Bhatt's banner has given hits like 'Jism' and 'Murder'.
Bhatt tells his movies have high sexual content as he wants to dust out the feeling of guilt associated with the term sex.
'I want to take out guilt from sex. There is an age-old relation between sex and guilt. Indian heroines used to be very hesitant about doing bold scenes, taking it to be a dirty thing. That's the fountainhead of your life, how could it be dirty?' he questioned.
'In the 21st century, we have increased the sexual content as India has changed. Its thought processes have changed and so have changed the sexual references,' told Bhatt.

Will Tisca Chopra dance on the Sheila tune?

Get ready for one more Sheila, folks. But will this one jiggie wiggie and squirm her booty to success a la' Senorita Kaif in Tees Maar Khan? Ah, Tisca Chopra, one of the lead stars of Love Break Ups Zindagi (a Sahara Motion Pictures Production and Born Free Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.) isn't ready to spill the beans on that one.

"I'm playing Sheila in Love BreakUps Zindagi," discloses Tisca. "She's someone who's bold and upfront, speaks her mind, has the impudence needed and is not really hankering after marriage. She has remained single for a very long time in her life waiting for Mr. Right to show up. Then she falls for Govind, the character that Cyrus Sahukar enacts in the movie…and he's a guy who's been divorced twice! What happens from then on is what the film looks at."

Comparisons are hateful, however, and you tell Tisca that it's impossible to speak of Sheila and not have any indirect reference to a certain Katrina Kaif.

Tisca says, "Are you asking if I'm going to be doing a dance number in Love BreakUps Zindagi? Well… I do have a sequence where I'm shown dancing… but I don't want to say anything more on that front. For that, you'll have to wait and watch the movie."

Asin says, Salman encourages new talent a lot!

Southern beauty Asin Thottumkal, who has shared screen space with Bollywood star Salman Khan in two movies, tells that the actor encourages new talent a lot.
'Salman is quite encouraging of new talent. I saw a lot of these young boys come up to him with their portfolios for a break and he really encourages them.... takes them under his wings and does whatever he can to help them. I found that very nice and endearing,' Asin said.
The 25-year-old actress has worked with Salman in the movies 'London Dreams' and 'Ready'.

Imran Khan is smitten by the beauty of Katrina Kaif!

Actor Imran Khan is not just obsessed by the beauty of Katrina Kaif, but by her hardwork and commitment too, after working with her in 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'.
'I think this film will do very good things for her. We have often heard that she is just a pretty face and she can't act. But with this film, Katrina is going to prove all of them wrong,' Imran said.
'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' is a romantic comedy from the Yash Raj Films stable, and Imran tells he enjoyed working on it.
'It was fun working with Katrina. I was very impressed with her. She is an incredibly hard working girl. For someone who hasn't known the language (Hindi), the way she has worked on that and the way she delivers her dialogues now is incredible,' Imran told.

Shah Rukh has nothing to do nowadays!

He is one of the busiest stars in Bollywood, so no doubt Shah Rukh Khan loves it when he does 'nothing'!
'In the mode of doing nothing. sometimes listless...aimless...workless makes it the most pleasing experience of the day,' Shah Rukh wrote on his blog page.
'There is an Urdu line...jo kuch nahi karte woh kamaal karte hain (Those who don't do anything do wonders)...in London doing awesomely nothing,' he included.
The actor has been busy shooting the last bits of his mega-budget home production 'RA.One', and last week, he captivated Bollywood fans in Toronto with his presence at the three-day International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend and Awards.
