At first glimpse, Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine which is at present on hold following the news of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy seems to have a striking similarity to Laurens C Postma's premier Hindi film Cover Story – The Ultimate Interview starring Jackie Shroff and Sheena S Nayyer.
Both films are based on the chronicles of top actresses, played by Aishwarya and Sheena in Heroine and Cover Story correspondingly. While Heroine traces the voyage of a B'Town star at the peak of her career and her subsequent fall, Cover Story is a one night account of a veteran journalist's interview of a heroine and the scoop that he gets for the publication.
What's more is that the posters of both these movies seem akin to each other too! The poster of Cover Story has been designed to look like the cover page of a movie magazine adorned with a stunning image of Ms. Nayyer. The poster of Heroine also features Aishwarya on what seems to be the cover of a movie magazine, looking straight into the camera.
With Heroine on the hold at the moment, Cover Story surely seems to have the upper hand as it finished filming last year and will hit cinema screens on19th August, 2011, much before Madhur's dream project.
