Delhi Belly opens with 70 to 90 percent and Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap with 30 to 40 percent!

Delhi Belly, starring Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunaal Roy Kapur, has taken a flying start at box office. The movie released at 1200 screens and saw the occupancy of 70 to 90 percent. Furthermore, the critics have given their thumbs up to the movie — both the English version and the dubbed Hindi version — which will attract more crowds to theatres on Saturday and Sunday. The movie is made on a budget of around Rs. 30 crores and is expected to have a very good first weekend collection.
In contrast, the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap has fared just average. The movie opened to an audience response of 30 to 40 percent in the morning but there were greater numbers in the evening shows on Friday. The reviews haven’t been much satisfying either, though some critics seem to have liked the movie a lot. The film is made on a budget of around 10 crores (excluding Big B’s fee) and has already earned Rs. 14.75 crores from satellite and music rights. The film’s box office collection is expected to go up on Saturday and Sunday. The final figures of its first weekend collection will be available on Monday afternoon.
The coming week would see the competition with Murder 2, starring Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez, and Chillar Party, co-produced by Salman Khan.
