Deepika Padukone doesn’t want badminton at the cost of acting!'

She's netted gains in Tinsel Town and is a state level champion in badminton. Deepika Padukone is gaining super Brownie points consolidating her hold in bollywood. Though she confesses to being "sporty and athletic" in nature, Deepika points out that devoting more time to badminton, is not something that she's managed to do.

"I'm so busy with my film shootings, ad shoots, endorsements and other commitments, that I really don't have the time to do something major for badminton. Being a state level badminton player, I know I should do more for the sport, but I also know that it would then take up almost all my attention and I would not be able to concentrate on my acting career. I can't concentrate on acting at the cost of acting," she'd affirmed.

While Lara Dutta too has netted a racket, oops, sorry racquet king for matrimonial company, Deepika is happy beside Junior booze baron Siddhartha Mallya. And they've progressed beyond the "good friend" bit, courtesy the recent public lip lock.

Gossips mongers and scribes; however, can never seem to get enough of her takes on ex flame Ranbir Kapoor. And depending on her (star) mood, Deepika doles out a response or chucks the query altogether.

"Even today, my relationship with Ranbir would be the most important one for me and we're still good friends. People may have their own opinions but what is important for me is the friendship that I share with him," Deepika told.
