Suchitra Krishnamoorthi calls Gul Panag a 'Cleavage Flasher'!

Bollywood’s yesteryear actress-turned-author Suchitra Krishnamurthy took to Twitter to post about her view on the newly concluded elections, expressing her happiness about actress-turned-politician Kirron Kher’s win. However, in the same tweet she also mentioned an objectionable comment on another Bollywood actress-turned-politician, Gul Panag.

Suchitra posted, “Kirron Kher win over Gul Panag. India needs strong women & mothers not cleavage flashers.”

Now, while Suchitra’s horrible comment didn’t really go down well with the Twitter community, our very own fashionista Sonam Kapoor went on to react to the same. She told, “I cannot believe a woman tweeted that. It’s disgusting. Women are the biggest enemies of women.”

Not the one to keep calm and carry on, Suchitra reacted too, telling, “True . So if u ever aspire to political office remember to put ur clothes back on.”

Meanwhile Kirron’s hubby Anupam Kher took to Twitter to congratulate his wife.

“Congratulations @KirronKherBJP for winning the Chandigarh Parliamentary seat by a margin of more than 69000 votes. Jai Ho.:)”.

However, Kirron Kher and Gul Panag chose to maintain a dignified silence.

Suchitra later apologized to Gul. She wrote, “Ok now I’ve had it with that last tweet-2 late 2 take it back. Not a personal attack on Gul but a general obsrvatn on political demeanor. my apologies to @GulPanag – but i stand by my statement that a young woman seen in a sexual context will not be taken seriously otherwise (sic).”

Glad gender stereotypes are being challenged, says Gul Panag!

An interest in traveling, collecting cars and a passion for adventure may be listed as activities perceived as falling in men's domain, but actress Gul Panag does not agree with these stereotypes and has been disproving them in her personal life.

Gul, who has been riding bikes from a very early age, told, "No one ever called me a tomboy. Then or now."

"I don't think riding bikes makes a girl a tomboy. Who decides what girls should do or not do? I'm glad the gender stereotypes are being challenged," Gul, who has been seen in movies like "Dhoop" and "Dor", said in an email interaction.

Along with her acting commitments, endorsements as well as social initiatives, the former beauty queen always makes it a point to devote time to her hobbies and interests.

The 35-year-old has also found a way to "combine" her "work and passion".

"One can always take out time for things one wants to do. With all the travel, writing, and blogging I do, I am able to combine work and my passion," she told.

Not only has she aligned her passion with her work, but it has found its place in her personal life as well. Her husband Rishi Attari shares the same interests as her, which makes her adventures more enjoyable.

"Both of us share a common passion for adventure and the outdoors and he is most enthusiastic and supportive of all my interests," she told.

Gul Panag’s unnerving moments for walking the ramp!

Former Miss India and Bollywood actress Gul Panag, who Thursday walked for designer Urvashi Kaur at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) tells that walking the ramp is something that she has never wanted to do.

The five-day fashion extravaganza started here Wednesday.

"It was bit of unnerving to walk with big supermodels but thanks to music that helped me in soothing my nerves. I feel, modelling requires lot of things and for me, it was little difficult as I never walked the ramp during my Miss India days," Gul, dressed in maroon gown, said.

Former beauty queen and actress Gul Panag, who feels Bipasha Basu and Akshay Kumar are Bollywood's fitness icons, tells girls should stop running behind size zero and simply focus on being fit.
'I don't understand the relationship between size zero and a fit body. Fitness is that if your car breaks down and you can easily walk four to five km without tiring out, or if you can pick a heavy bag without complaining about your back ... fitness is not necessarily about being skinny,' Gul said reporters.
The 32-year-old also gave out some fitness tips.
'People should focus on strength and endurance, and shouldn't run after size. The girls want to get smaller, the boys want to grow bigger but what's important in fitness is that you have strength and stamina because there's no fitness without it,' she included.
While a lot of people talk wildly about Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's slim waist, Gul told Bipasha was the fittest among all.
'I think Bipasha is very fit. A lot of people feel being slim is being fit. But there is a big difference between being fit and being slim. Being fit means you should have endurance level and have stamina ... and if in Bollywood, there are any two people who are genuinely fit, they are Bipasha Basu and Akshay Kumar,' she told.
