Kangana Ranaut plays a straightforward cop in Dum Maro Dum.
Unlike her past roles, her role in Dum Maro Dum will be without glamour and sexuality. And the actress is pretty excited about it.
“The beauty of our profession is in being different characters and if a character requires me to take a break from the usual run-of-the-mill sexy roles, then so be it,” Kangana said in an interview.

Kangana also admitted that she tried her best and put in a lot of efforts in order not to look sexy in the movie.
“And to be honest, not having to seduce men was fun.” she included. “In fact, I felt like a hero.”
Kangana isn’t scared about playing a non-glam role.
“I think it’s really interesting to not use your sexuality on-screen, and instead, let it simmer under your character’s mannerisms,” tells Ranaut.

Dum Maro Dum is a thriller movie being directed by Rohan Sippy, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar and is shot in Goa .
Abhishek Bachchan plays a courageous cop with unconventional law enforcement methods. Bipasha plays Zoey, a typical happy go lucky Goan girl who changes into a completely different woman. Aditya Pancholi plays a villain named Biscuit.
Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone feature in the movie in cameo roles.
The movie releases in theaters on April 22.
