Detective Byomkesh Bakshy has ‘Expect The Unexpected’’s mantra to success!

Well, if there’s one thing to expect from this film, it’s the unexpected. What you think is going to happen, will not happen. And we all got a quick look of it when the makers of this highly predictable Detective Byomkesh Bakshy stepped out of the general norm and used Vine videos to release the teaser trailer. 



The poster of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, very appropriately, displays Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role with his back facing, wearing white dhoti with a green coat. The new poster also announces the ‘expected’ release date of the movie, which will be on 10th April, 2015.

Adding to the expect the unexpected we also have a brand new cool motion poster.

Movie-goers may have to wait a little longer to watch director Dibakar Banerjee’s big release starring Sushant Singh Rajput.

Based on a novel by Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, the film portrays the journey of a detective with the Second World War as the backdrop. Also featuring actress Swastika Mukherjee and directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the movie is slated to hit the screens on April 10, 2015.

Sushant needs preparatory leave for Byomkesh Bakshi!

After the release of "Shuddh Desi Romance", actor Sushant Singh Rajput will take some time off to prepare for his role in Dibakar Banerjee's "Detective Byomkesh Bakshi".

"Shuddh Desi Romance", produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) hits the silver screen Friday.

Sushant, who will play the popular detective, says a lot is to be done for his role in the movie, which is based on one of the 33 crime thrillers written by renowned Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandopadhyay.

"I have taken leave for two to three months for 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshi' after the release of 'Shuddh Desi Romance'. A lot has to be done for the film like the look of the 1940s' hairstyle, body, accent ... but all after this film," Sushant told journalists at a radio station.

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, "Shuddh Desi Romance" also stars Parineeti Chopra and newcomer Vaani Kapoor. 

Sushant Singh Rajput’s tough romance with Rishi Kapoor!

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen with two actresses in "Shuddh Desi Romance", but he tells creating 'romance' with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was challenging for him.

The movie, releasing Friday, features Parineeti Chopra and debutant Vaani Kapoor.

"When I met both of them, they already knew and were ready to create that romance. But the real problem I had in creating romance was with Rishi Kapoor," the 28-year-old told in an interview.

"It was toughest to create romance with Rishi-ji," he further added.

Rishi plays a Marwari wedding planner in "Shuddh Desi Romance", which is directed by Maneesh Sharma. 

Sushant Singh Rajput moves to regional movies!

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who has already earned a name in the Hindi film industry, tells he is open to do regional movies.

He was appreciated for his work in "Kai Po Che" and now the audience is enthusiastically waiting to see his acting prowess again in "Shuddh Desi Romance", which is releasing Sep 6.

"I never planned my career. I can understand Marathi, but I can't talk. I am open to everything. I just want to be a part of films that I believe in and that can be Marathi, Gujarati or anything. So, I am open to do regional films," Sushant said.

Sushant, who will be working with director Abhishek Kapoor again post "Kai Po Che", tells they have enough respect for each other.

"When we were shooting for 'Kai Po Che', he had this trust in me. It was very kind of him to ask me to work in this film. After the success of 'Rock On!!' and 'Kai Po Che', he could have cast any star for the film, but we have enough respect for each other. This is very encouraging for me as an actor. The film will go on floors by next year," he told.

The film, produced by Ekta Kapoor, is an adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic "Great Expectations" and Sushant will play the protagonist in the movie. 

Sushant Singh Rajput mobbed by girl fans!

Young and dashing actor Sushant Singh Rajput got a taste of his growing female fan base when he was almost mobbed on a current visit to Chandigarh.

Sushant was on his way to a family function in Chandigarh, when he was mobbed by fans. His driver had a tough time parking the car, as several people engulfed the vehicle, told a source.

The actor had to wade through the crowd, guarded by security men, and he had to ultimately take refuge in the security personnel's office. The ruckus continued and it took almost an hour to escort Sushant safely back to his car, the source further added.

Kai Po Che! is an upcoming film based on Chetan Bhagat's novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life directed by Abhishek Kapoor, with music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Swanand Kirkire. Sushant Singh Rajput, Raj Kumar Yadav and Amit Sadh star as Ishaan, Govind and Omi respectively. Kai Po Che!'s trailer was released with Dabangg 2. The first trailer of this movie was released on 20 December 2012.

Pavitra Rishta stars, Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande, are one fortunate duo as they get a chance to work with the very beautiful Aishwarya Rai, for a commercial.

In a casual chat with Aishwarya during the shoot, Sushant disclosed to Ash that during one of her performances on stage, she was lifted by him.

Sushant was super thrilled to work with the actress. He reveals, “Aishwarya was very well-mannered. It was really nice working with her. She was astonished to hear that we had danced together in the Australian Commonwealth Games in 2006 and now we were endorsing a product together.”

Aishwarya on the other hand, being in her 7 month pregnancy, is still living professional life also.
