Ranbir 's first 'item number' song in the kid centric film will showcase RK as an "inspired" version of Akbar from AAA, clad in striking red attire, sporting a similar kind of headgear, eating paan and performing a quwaali that goes tayyn tayyn fish… crafted by Amit Trivedi and set in steps by Bosco Caeser.
Apparently, the song number was canned recently at Film City, Goregoan (suburban Mumbai), a harkback to purdah hai purdah hai from the late Manmohan Desai helmed winner, has elated director Vikas Bahl of Chillar Party, who asserts that Akbar also happens to be one of his fave cine characters too.
States Bahl in a magazine chat, "Ranbir thought it would be great way to show his appreciation to his dad, since Amar Akbar Anthony also happens to be one of his favorite movies and he loves the way his dad played Akbar. He's sporting a similar tapori (ragamuffin) look, complete with kohl lined eyes, a cupped topi (cap), a pencil thin moustache and paan stained lips."
Lauding Ranbirs's efforts, Bahl tells that "with him, you have to think out of the box" and that he was "confident about experimenting with Ranbir."
By the way, the filming of the tayyn track has been kept as a secret from the senior Kapoor and the footage is bagging the cutting edge of editing at the moment. "We haven't shown the song to Mr. Rishi Kapoor as yet," tells Bahl. "It'll be a nice surprise for him and we're eager to know whether he approves of the song or not."
