Big B will celebrate forty years of his wedding with two back-to-back releases!

Come June 3, 2013, Mr and Mrs Big B will complete forty years of wedding. Taking this as an occasion, two filmmakers have determined to release their ventures starring Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan on the same day.

Deepak Sawant’s Bhojpuri movie Ganga Devi and Shoojit Sircar’s Garden House will be releasing on June 3, next year. While Ganga Devi’s release date has been pushed back to next year, Garden House’s shooting will begin sometime soon and will release along side the former.

Sawant told, “I’ve been with Bachchansaab for the last forty years. To me he and Jayaji are like Ram and Sita. I am their Hanuman. The Hindi version of Ganga Devi is finally ready. All the dubbing by Bachchan Saab and Jayaji and all other artistes is done. But we’re going to release the Hindi version next year close to their 40th wedding anniversary.”

However, the Bhojpuri version of Sawant’s movie will hit theaters on September 14, this year.

About Garden House Big B told, “Shoojit came up with an interesting concept for the two of us (Big B and Jaya). So why not? As for Deepak Sawant, he has been with me from the beginning of my career. Neither Jaya nor I can say no to him.”
