Rina Golan an Israeli actress has accused Subhash Ghai and Anees Bazmi in a false sexual harassment case. Both the directors have called a meeting on the issue of defeating the charges of sexual harassment of actors particularly foreigners by directors and producers.
Bazmi has taken the charges to heart and has come up strongly to prevent such more cases coming up. Ghai has chosen to remain quiet about the matter.
Bazmi has suggested to the film fraternity to impose a ban on the foreign junior artists and chorus girls. He spoke to the lawyers and wanted to impose a defamation case even if it’s long because the Israeli girl had spoiled his reputation.
Golan was a junior artist in Bazmi’s WELCOME and he could not remember her face because she was in a fire scene as a on-looker along with Katrina Kaif. Such cases are very common now a days in the film industry. So some concrete steps need to be taken to combat these and other such cases in future. We will have to wait some more time, to find out the real truth behind the accusations of the Israeli actress against the Indian film makers, but casting-couch is not a new thing in the film industry.
