Shahid Kapoor in recent past had shot for sarson ka khet filled Punjab twice to love actresses in Jab We Met and Mausam. He also shot with Priyanka Chopra, with director as Kunal Kohli, the film not been given any title.
He will presently not shoot in Punjab . Kunal Kohli wanted to make his film genre romantic, namely Teri Meri Kahani in Punjab , but he is now changing his story line in order to remove Punjab and Bhangra from the story. This was after he watched Mausam inspite of the success of Jab We Met.
In Mausam the story line was a Hindu boy who fell in love with a Muslim girl. In Kunal Kohli’s film it was a Muslim boy who fell in love with a Hindu girl. So both movies have a Hindu-Muslim love story. Earlier Shahid Kapoor was in Shiamiak Dawar dance group, but now he is a renowned star. He debuted in Ishk Visk Pyar Vyar.
So the impact and conclusion of the matter is “Why should both the Shahid Kapoor films be based in Punjab when there are other places to explore?” Hence included that Shahid Kapoor will not do much of Bhangra in near future.
