Barfee, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra is a romantic comedy and not a serious kind of movie. The film is for all age groups. In an interview with Ranbir Kapoor, the actor talks about his upcoming film Barfee and the reason why it is not releasing this year.
The film, which is being directed by Anurag Basu, has RK essay the role of a deaf and dumb character. On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra plays the role of an abled character. Hence people thought the film to be dramatic and serious one.
Speaking about Barfee, Ranbir tells, “It’s sad to see such loose statements being made because ‘Barfee’ is actually a very sweet heart warming romcom”. The actor further adds that it is an out and out fun film.”
The movie goes back to the 70s era, with many scenes shot in Darjeeling and also in Kolkata. Currently, only 50 percent of the film is over and so the release date has been shifted from later this year to May 2012.
Presently, RK is working super hard, promoting his film Rockstar, which is slated to hit theaters on November 11.
