Promo of DESI BOYZ is on and it is obvious that the movie would depend upon glamour and look as its major USP. While Akshay and John could well be repeating their GARAM MASALA act by going bare body, one wonders whether leading ladies Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh would be getting into bikinis as well, especially so since the film has been shot on foreign shores.
However a source close to the makers of DESI BOYZ says that while he is unsure of the current situation, at least to begin with there never were any such plans.
"There are thousand ways of resorting to escapism but director Rohit Dhawan feels that nudity should be last one to look at," the source says, "Everyone's prerogative and perspective is different. If you are making a 'Boogie Nights' then nudity is unavoidable but a movie like DESI BOYZ doesn't require that."
When contacted, Rohit didn't mince any words in denying any such possibility of his girls being seen in bikinis. He says, "There aren't any beaches in the film so no one is going to start swimming. Also no one is playing a lifeguard either. I may put someone in a bikini if a scene genuinely demanded it, but sorry to say, DESI BOYZ doesn't have any room for that."
