The firstlook of Chitrangada Singh’s item number “Kafirana” in “Joker”!

Actress Chitrangada Singh will be seen in doing an item song for the first time in Shirish Kunder’s “Joker”, and no, she is not trying to change her onscreen image. The actress also tells, she doesn’t mind doing more item numbers in Bollywood and that her husband liked her desi avatar in her current item song.

“Neither am I trying to change my image nor going to fit in anything. I think one just gets put into a box in which one has to live and be comfortable in it. I am just trying to do something out-of-the-box. It is a chance and risk that you take,” she told.

She added, “He really liked it. He said I really look good in that whole ethnic, rustic look.” She also told, career is something that she rarely discusses with her hubby dear.

Known for her serious roles in films like Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi, “Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow”, Yeh Saali Zindagi and a commercial drama “Desi Boyz”, doing an item number was definitely risky. However, the actress says, it was worth it.

“One thing I want to clarify is that I neither want to change my image nor I am trying to fit in anything…I was trying to do something out of the box. It’s a chance that you take, it’s a risk. Sometimes you fall flat on your face. Sometimes you don’t. But I think it’s worth taking the risk. I had a good time doing it,” Chitrangada told.

The song is titled “Kafirana” and is directed by Shirish Kunder. The film “Joker” features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha and is coming out on Aug 31.

Chitrangada Singh's sexy and seducing item song in film 'Joker'

Dusky actress Chitrangda Singh is the newest name in the long line of actresses to go the 'item girl' way. The actress will perform a raunchy item number for Sirish Kuder's Joker which stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.

The director has managed a coup of sorts by roping in two item songs for the film as it has already been confirmed that Sonakshi will also feature in an item number for Joker. This will be Chitrangda's first ever item number which will be choreographed by Farah Khan, who is the magician behind some of the most iconic item songs of Bollywood. She will be grooving to the tunes of the sultry song Kafirana which will star the movie’s lead pair as a part of the audience.

Talking about his choice of getting Chitrangda on board Sirish Kunder told, “We wanted a fresh yet sensual face, and not the usual, go-to item girls of today. Also, Chitrangda hasn't done an item song before, so the novelty value is very high. She was exactly what we were looking for.”

Sonakshi is over weight for Joker!

Sonakshi Sinha has been requested by her ‘Joker’ director, Shirish Kunder, to lose weight, for her forthcoming movie, ‘Joker’.

Sonakshi, apart from being the lead lady in the movie, will also feature in an item number. And so, for the item song, the director has asked the actress to shed kilos. He wants her to look as sexy and sensuous as Katrina Kaif did in ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’. The song will be choreographed by Farah Khan.

Well, but how far is the news right, only Shirish and Sonakshi can let know.

According to a popular magazine, when asked Shirish on Sonakshi Sinha’s weight matter, he told, “That’s not true. I love her the way she is!”.

We have no clue, whom to trust!!
