Zoa Morani is set for a change of scenery after playing a feisty motormouth in her debut film Always Kabhi Kabhi. The PYT has now inked a deal to costar with Naseeruddin and Vivaan Shah in the Rocky Khanna-directed Mastaan. As the title suggests the film is set in Bollywood’s current favourite gangster world and traces the beginnings of Haaji Mastaan’s career in the underworld. Mastaan is being made on a fairly modest budget of $4 million and might just be the hit Zoa needs for the world to take her seriously.

Showstopper Zoa Morani slips on the ramp!

Actress Zoa Morani, who started her career with "Always Kabhi Kabhi", slipped on the ramp while walking the runway as showstopper for designer Payal Kothari at the Lakme Fashion Week summer/resort. But she enjoyed being part of the tribal clothes and shoes.

"I slipped, yes! I am human and it happens I guess. I was enjoying so much that I forgot that I have to move ahead," Zoa said.

Kothari, who hails from East Africa, showcased her tribal collection titled 'Veruschka'. Apart from her clothes, the highlight of her work was shoes with wedges and wooden carved heels inspired by traditional African art.

Talking about her collection she told, "The colours that we have used are very bright. We used a lot of bright orange, yellow, aqua blue and we also used beaded work which is very exceptional and we have created wooden heels. We wanted to showcase more of interesting clothes but the shoe was the focus."

Zoa wore a simple orange coloured short dress and teamed it with accessories that symbolised the social and cultural facets.

She told that she "enjoyed being part of the tribal clothes and shoes". "I was very comfortable I love tribal designs and I am more excited for the association of shoe brand," she added.

Kothari told, "The accessories were picked up from Mauritius it worked all together."

Zoa Morani is an incurable romantic

After signing on the film that saw her play a tom-boy ,Zoa was motivated to have a toned body and took keen interest in her fitness regime –

Says Zoa “My mom was actually the one who pushed me into being fit and eating healthy. She is very particular about her fitness and just before I started work, she really pushed me to look my best. I decided to do power yoga to lose the baby fat. I started training with Payal Gidwani, a power yoga instructor. After that I started training with her husband Manish, and now I can easily say that I can’t do without my daily dose of yoga”

Not a gym enthusiast Zoa Morani found a novel fun way of keeping fit –

 “I hate going to the gym and sometimes when I don’t feel like doing cardio, I run on the beach. That is a good substitute and works well for me,” she adds.
