And this is what director R Balki has to tell about her, “Akshara is clear proof that genetic science is true. She has the best of both her parents and seeing her perform, you feel that she was just born to act. Akshara has the tough role of controlling two men who are fighting with each other in the movie and even though she has never faced the camera before, she is such a natural actor.”

Gulzar Saab & R. Balki are great Heroes instead of Khans: Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan might have scored stunning success during last one year and is now rated along side three Khans by Bollywood trade analysts. However she hasn't starred in a single movie opposite these top stars and even they are not showing much interest in romancing with this hot beauty fearing that she may eclipse them on silver screen.

Vidya however feels that they are not the top stars of industry. She tells "I want to know who the so-called 'heroes' are that we talk about," she demands to know. "As far as I'm concerned, the top heroes of the film industry are Gulzar saab and R. Balki, and I've worked with them," flashing her mystifying smile.

Vidya elaborating on her take tells that script and strength of strong story plays an important part in film's success rather than top star cast... She tells "I don't care who the hero of the film is. Give me a good script and I'll do more than my 100 per cent to the film. For me, the guys who work on the film make the stars, and not vice versa." Whatever be the calculations, the fact remains that Vidya has delivered back-to-back blockbusters almost alone.

R.Balki wants only Sridevi for 'English Vinglish'!

Actress Sridevi's comeback movie "English Vinglish" was written with only her in mind, says producer R. Balki, whose wife Gauri Shinde has directed the movie.

"'English Vinglish' is a very special film for me because it marks the comeback of Sridevi, possibly one of the greatest performers. It was written and discussed keeping Sridevi in mind," Balki said.

Sridevi scorched the silver screen with films like "Sadma", "Chandni" "Chaalbaaz", "Mr.India" and "Lamhe". Her last movie was "Judaai", released in 1997.

In "English Vinglish", Sridevi plays a woman who struggles to speak in English.

"She plays a simple woman who struggles with English language. In India, there is a major problem - either you need money, or you need fame or you need to talk in English to be considered a part of the upper class. There is a lot of struggle and lot of people in the country who are insecure because they don't know English. The film tackles that," told Balki, an adman-turned-filmmaker, who earlier directed critically acclaimed movies like "Cheeni Kum" and "Paa".

However, his wife Gauri, who has wielded the megaphone for "English Vinglish", didn't turn to him for any filmmaking tips.

"The last person she will take tips would be from me. My wife is very independent. I would rather take tips from her. She is very independent minded, she has her own sensibility and it works for her," he told.
