Putting rest to rumors over the babies name, Amitabh Bachchan confirms his granddaughter’s name as Aaradhya.

“My granddaughter is called Aaradhya”, Amitabh posted on Twitter.

Aishwarya Rai gave birth to her first child on Nov 16, 2011. Ever since then, fans have been curious to see the baby as well as know her name.

What made the 69-year-old reveal the baby’s name all of a sudden??

Well, one of his fans on twitter asked Big B about the baby.

Hasween tweeted: “@SrBachchan sir (Amitabh Bachchan) want to see your lovely grand daughter…would really appreciate your reply with her name. Would love to know that. Thankyou.”

Lately, when the 69-year-old superstar was asked to validate Beti B’s name, he very skillfully skipped the question.

“We will talk about it sometime later…not now,” Mr. Bachchan was at the festival of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s films in Mumbai.

What’s surprising is that though Beti B is now called Aaradhya, there hasn’t been any confirmation nor denial for the family members.

If buzz is to be believed, it is due to certain astrological and religious reasons why the baby’s name is still kept a secret.

Reports have it that choti Bachchan’s formal name has also been registered.

Even before her birth, Aaradhya was famous. After her birth, she was again famous. The whole nation wanted to have a glimpse of her. They wanted to know her name. There were also several speculations about her name. At one point, Beti B was also named Abhilasha by the rumormonger.

However, all the rumors, speculations etc etc has now come to an end.

In the meantime, we are still waiting for a formal confirmation from the Bachchans, that the little one’s name is indeed Aaradhya.
