Leading Kannada actor Darshan was Wednesday back in jail here for assaulting his wife and has moved the high court for bail after two lower courts rejected his bail plea.
The high court is probable to hear the plea Thrusday, the actor's counsel said reporters here.
Darshan was arrested Sep 9 after Vijayalakshmi gave a five-page complaint to police detailing the beating she had suffered.
She told Darshan also pointed a revolver at her and threatened to kill her and the couple's three-year-old son Vineesh.
But within hours she changed her statement to say she was injured from a fall in the bathroom and not due to any beating by Darshan.
This followed intervention by leading Kannada actors and producers.
However, two lower courts declined to accept her changed statement and rejected Darshan's plea for bail.
Darshan was in Parappana Agrahara jail in east Bangalore
He was treated for nine days at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases here and was discharged Wednesday.
He was taken back to the jail as the session court had Tuesday rejected his bail plea.
