Pioneer NRI New York Emmy Nominated Filmmaker Tirlok Malik’s New Film “KHUSHIYAAN”.
Every family has a journey. What’s yours? Khushiyaan, the new film from New York Emmy nominated Tirlok Malik will pose this question and reflect on the experiences of so many families across the world.
“It’s a slice of life,” …It’s the poetry of how we learn from our relationships.” says Malik, the Director of the film. The film is produced by Darshan Garg, D.P Goyal and Pradeep Bansal under the banner of Kanhiya Film Production.
The film is in Punjabi-Language and is made for Indians, NRI’s, and an international audience.
Tirlok Malik is a pioneer of films about Indian-American immigrant themes. His film Lonely in America, a romantic comedy, was featured in 74 countries, on HBO, and 37 national and international film festivals, winning many awards including a special mention at the London Film Festival. His work has been acclaimed in the international media including Variety and the Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to making his own films, Malik and his New York-based company Apple Productions has line produced the US portion of many films with some of India’s biggest stars such as Rajinikanth in Sivaji, Kamal Haasan in Vettayadu Villayadu, Surya in Vaaranam Aayiram, Mammootty in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar,Sunny Deol in I Love New Year and many more. Malik also made cameo appearances with the stars in these films.
Khushiyaan is filmed in India & New York, is equally innovative in its ideas and distinct personality that includes emotions, comedy, great music and songs.
