Phoolan Devi's killer is Tennis star Leander Paes?

Now that the ace tennis-star Leander Paes has turned his gaze to Bollywood, he has been roped in to play Phoolan Devi’s killer in the movie ‘End Of Bandit Queen’.

The movie is based on the life of Sher Singh Rana who is serving a jail sentence in Tihar. He has been charged for Phoolan Devi’s murder and also for absconding from jail once. Rana has himself written the movie in jail and he claims that Shekhar Kapoor’s ‘Bandit Queen’ has distorted most of the facts about Phoolan Devi.

Leander had freshly met Rana in Patiala House court in Delhi to discuss the details of the movie. He gave a nod to do the movie not just because he liked the script but also believes that Rana is a loyalist. Paes’ manager Siddharth Chandra has verified the news.
