I am not interested in the 100 crore club: Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha is having a dream run in Bollywood. Since she entered the industry, she has worked with the biggest stars and in a year has already been a part of three 100 crore movies, Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore and Son Of Sardar. While some actresses strive hard to choose the right movies and be a part of this club, Sonakshi has pulled it off quite easily. Now, the actress is all set to be part of another film that without doubt will join the 100 crore club. Yes, she will be seen opposite Salman Khan once again in Dabangg 2.

However, Sonakshi tells she isn’t interested in the 100 crore club.

So ask Sonakshi if she has a strategy in place of selecting only 100 crore ventures and she excitedly tells, “I don’t think it that way. At least for me as an actor when somebody comes with a narration I don’t look at from 100 crore point. Whether a particular film will rake in 100 crores. Nobody, in fact, thinks that way. If I like the narration, if I can relate and feel emotionally attached I go for the film. If I am excited about a particular film I go ahead signing it.”

That’s not it, the young actress is said to be a lucky charm for Salman, Akshay and Ajay as she has delivered 3 big hits with them.

When Sonakshi was asked about this, she got slightly ticked off. She told, “This tag keeps changing from person to person. It is being given to me today. Yesterday it was with someone else. Tomorrow it will be held on some other person. So, I don’t take it seriously or get carried away with it. On the contrary, I feel lucky that I could be part of such wonderful films and got the opportunity to work with such good stars.”
It’s been two years since the time she made her debut in the industry. Ask her if she sees any changes in herself as an actor and what all things she learnt being here and she tells, “I think with every film you get to learn something new. Every time you get to work with different set of people so there’s constant learning. You keep growing with each film and every interaction. And, for me, I think I have that thing that I can learn very quick from people.”

Dabangg 2 is all set to hit screens this Friday. The movie is directed by Arbaaz Khan and stars Salman and Sonakshi in the lead roles.

I can guarantee for Race 2: John Abraham

John Abraham is looking forward to his releases in 2013. The actor tells that it will be the biggest year for him in his career. First of all, he stars in Race 2 which is the sequel to Race and promises a lot of action and thrills, mainly because Abbas-Mustan has called the shots. The actor tells that the movie is unpredictable and audience who liked Race will definitely love its sequel.

While Race 2 is starting the year for him, he has his most ambitious film till date, Shootout At Wadala, creating some fantastic pre-release buzz as well.

John told, “This is being planned as a film which is bigger and better than the best. Sanjay (Gupta), Ekta (Kapoor) and I are on a wicket where we understand what Shootout At Wadala is going to do for us. We need to up the quotient now. I am again looking at an action zone here and what I can promise is that over and above the drama and thrills, you would see some real action unfolding on screen.”

While Race 2 releases on 26th January next year, Shootout At Wadala is all set to hit the screens on 1st May 2013.

‘Mr. India 2’ sequel with Anil Kapoor and Sridevi without old villain ‘Mogambo’!

We had reported previously that a sequel to ‘Mr. India’, titled ‘Mr. India 2′ is being planned. Now, filmmaker Boney Kapoor has confirmed the news, clarifying that the movie will be a sequel and not a remake of the 1987 hit Mr. India. He also verifies that Anil Kapoor and Sridevi will be a part of the movie. However, there will be no ‘Mogambo’, but a new villain in the movie.

“Obviously, there won’t be a Mogambo unless we are remaking the same movie. As of now, we don’t have plans of remaking the same film. We are working on a sequel. If there is a sequel, Mogambo won’t be there, there would be a new villain,” Kapoor told.

Buzz had it that Salman Khan was being considered for the villain’s role. However, Boney Kapoor brushes off the rumors.

Kapoor told, “If I had my way, I would plan every film with Salman Khan. But this is not in my hands; it will be according to the script.”

Sridevi and Anil Kapoor were the lead stars in the original film too.

“Well, of course she (Sridevi) will be a part of ‘Mr. India 2′ for sure. We are yet to finalize a script. Along with Anil, she will be part of it,” Boney Kapoor told.

“My journey with her began with ‘Mr. India’, so obviously the journey has to continue and how can it continue without her, especially when it’s ‘Mr. India’?” he added.

Presently Kapoor is focusing on No Entry Mein Entry.

“But before I get down to ‘Mr. India’, we have just finished the script for ‘No Entry Mein Entry’.”

Rapists should be hanged till death: Salman Khan

The news of a Delhi girl being raped and now, who is battling for her life in a city hospital, came as a shock to the Bollywood megastar Salman Khan. Sharing his views on the kind of punishment these rapists deserve, Salman told, the culprits should be hanged till death.

“In my view, there should be a death sentence for all rapists. Such things have no role in our life. I feel disgusted after hearing such things. For me, this is a third grade crime. I also believe that there should be a norm that if a rapist goes to jail, he should be beaten till death,” told the 46-year-old.

The brutal incident took place in the capital city on Sunday night, when the victim and her male friend boarded a bus to their way back home.

Salman further added, “The first thought which comes to the mind is – such people should be killed – but there are too many things which we have to follow. It is a shame that such a thing has happened, how can somebody commit such a heinous crime.”

The actor is very upset about the recent incident and said; people should not tolerate such crime anymore.
“I think Indian society needs to be ‘dabangg’ (bold) in their approach. I recently read a news where a girl was being molested and people standing nearby were making videos on their phones. This is not the real India and I don’t think if such incidents can ever happen in front of my eyes,” he added.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani also stars Kalki Koechlin.

Talking about her tussle with actress Anushka Sharma, Deepika told, “There is no truth to this and I always wish her well.”

It seems that, rumors were that both Deepika and Anushka have been fighting for the lead role opposite Salman Khan in Kick.

In the meantime, Anushka Sharma recently took a potshot at Deepika Padukone. She told, “There is no comparison between Deepika and me. Nothing links us. We do different kind of films. In fact she has done more films. I’ve been choosy. I have not picked up just about any role that came my way.”

Giving a word to her peers, Anushka further added, “Stop throwing garbage at me since I don’t throw garbage at you.”
