Actor Vivek Oberoi and wife Priyanka have become proud parents of a boy. 

"Today is the most special day of my life! Priyanka and I welcomed our little angel into our world, a beautiful, healthy, divine baby boy," Vivek posted on Wednesday.

Vivek’s never say ‘No’ resolution for his wife Priyanka!

Vivek Oberoi plays a gangster with a golden heart in his forthcoming film Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story. The actor relived two of his past characters – Chandu of ‘Company’ and Aditya of ‘Saathiya’, in the movie JayantaBhai Ki Luv Story. 

“(Filmmaker) Kumar Tauraniji called me and told, ‘There is a perfect script for you’. Vinnil Markan narrated the tale. What I liked the most in ‘Jayantabhai Ki…’ was that there is a goon similar to ‘Company’ and a lover boy similar to (the one I played in) ‘Saathiya’,” the 36-year-old told.

Here’s some good news for all the Oberoi fans…Well, Vivek Oberoi is a content man these days as his wife Priyanka Alva is two months pregnant and is expecting their first child in February next year.

Raj Kundra (Shilpa Shetty’s husband) broke the news on Twitter, tweeting: “Congratulating my dear friend @vivek_oberoi and his wife Priyanka on the good news and welcoming them to parenthood soon!”

Vivek and Priyanka tied the knot in 2010.

Well, its double celebration for Vivek as his sister Meghna is also pregnant and is expecting her first child around the same time.

The actor has too many movies lined up including Kismet, Love, Paisa, Dilli with Mallika Sherawat, Jayantibhai Ki Love Story, Krissh 3, Zilla Ghaziabad and Grand Masti.

Sources tell that Vivek has asked everyone to give him time off for around 20 days in February, so he can be with Priyanka at that time.

Vivek Oberoi and Salman’s fight on the Sher and Sher Khan!

Vivek Oberoi put his foot in the mouth once again a few days ago, when he commented, “Sher is bigger than Tiger”. Clearly, he was referring to his movie Sher in comparison with Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger.

Followed rumors that Salman, who has a long-standing hate-hate relationship with Vivek (courtesy their war regarding Aishwarya Rai a few years ago), had got the latter ousted from Sher; which also stars his good friend and Bigg Boss mate Sanjay Dutt.

But nothing of that sort happened and Vivek stayed put in Sher and even tweeted that he began shooting for it this week.

To fight it out, a seemingly serious Salman Khan is now said to be reviving his project Sher Khan with brother Sohail Khan at the helm of directorial affairs, to give a karara jawab (fitting reply) to bete-noire Vivek. It is learnt that for the first time, Salman Khan will be playing a superhero whose special powers rest in his shoulder-length tresses. Uh-oh!

When we quizzed Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar about the Salman-Vivek war-of-words, he told, “There is no comparison between Salman and Vivek. Both have their own places.”

“Since time immemorial, spice and sensationalism have ruled Bollywood. But such gossipy friction only goes to up the equity of actors and keeps them in hot news and in public eye. One has to take it with a pinch of salt,” he added.

Coincidently, Dale is the same publicist, who, in a year-long stint with Vivek, beautifully engineered a perception turnaround for Brand Vivek Oberoi when the actor was said to be down-and-out some two years ago.

But bizarrely, after that Vivek changed his publicist and ultimately went back to drawing battle lines with Salman once again. Now let’s see if Salman’s dreadlocks can outsmart the bouncy Vivek Oberoi this time round.

Vivek Oberoi is Bollywood's most romantic star and though he starred in action films like Omkara, Shootout at Lokhandwala and Rakth Charitra, he endeared himself to females with his romantic looks. Speaking about his ambitions, Vivek told "I am getting back to the professional grind. But the long vacation was needed. When I met Priyanka, I wanted to get married to her as soon as possible. She was living in Bangalore and I was in Mumbai, and we could hardly meet and we missed the courting period. So, I started courting her after we got married. It was the other way round. I took time off and traveled around the world with her."

Vivek who has a fiver in his kitty says it was tough for him to strip for his upcoming starter Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD). He has been hitting the gym regularly to pump up his muscles. He tells hot babe Mallika Sherawat is insisting him to strip. He further adds "No. She wasn't the inspiration, but definitely the person who requested me to strip," says Vivek with a hearty laugh, but hastily adds, "I am just kidding. Of course, it was the demand of the script and I am going to be at my best."

Vivek Oberoi avoids passive smoking strictly!

Vivek Oberoi not only stays away from tobacco, he also avoids passive smoking and tells that when someone smokes on the movie sets, he leaves that place.

"There is absolutely no smoking allowed on my sets. If anyone smokes, I always leave the set and go out," Vivek said journalists at an event to celebrate the World No Tobacco Day, which was on May 31. It was organized by Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA).

When journalists asked him what does he do when his co-stars smoke, he said that he doesn't enter their van.

The 35-year-old, who has a decade-long association with the CPAA, told, "I always try to help whatever good organisation, which is serving the cause of humanity selflessly. I have been with CPAA for 10 years now."

Vivek, known for movies like "Company", "Saathiya" and "Yuva", says his mother is his inspiration.

"She is my hero. She has been serving cancer patients since so many years now. She goes to hospitals, makes homemade food for the patients and talks to them," he told.

The Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi seems to be in catch-22. Fact is that, in a lovemaking sequence of a movie he is co-starring with the actress Mallika Sherawat and there is a kissing scene. Practically, Mallika sherawat is supposed to be the topper in kissing scenes amongst all Bollywood actresses further more she is recognized as reasonably bold in the body exposing scenes.

In the meantime, the blazing sexy role of Vidya Balan in The Dirty Pictures has just made Vidya to be on top of the list of bold Bollywood actresses.

The source informs, during the particular kissing sequence bold Mallika was very free and thrilled about the shot whereas her co-actor Vivek Oberoi was rather shaky as well as in doubt to perform this sequence properly. The source adds that seeing his attitude Mallika laughed out loud and told that a kissing scene is not at all any issue. She even persuaded him that if required Mallika would take the trouble to teach him how to make a kiss without shying.

This particular love scene would be filmed at the Buddha Gardens in Delhi. As the makers have pointed out that the location is selected on the idea that in Buddha Gardens it is a very common scene, as it is known to be the lovers place. This would be an added advantage to make the scene natural. The co-producers of this movie are Amit Chandra and Kishan Chowdhury.

Vivek Oberoi is a super bollywood baddie!

Bollywood has seen several superheroes like Krrish and Ra.One, but actor Vivek Oberoi, who will soon be seen playing Kaal, the villain in Rakesh Roshan's "Krrish 2", hopes to give the industry a "super-villain".

"When they called me and made me read the script, I read the role and was blown off. I want to play it right and it is all the hard work and effort that is paying off. I wanted to bring to life India's first super-villain, it was good fun," the 35-year-old actor told here at launch of singer Rajnigandha Shekhawat's album of folk songs.

Perhaps Vivek forgot that Arjun Rampal was lately seen as a super-villain in "RA.One". Nonetheless, he is working hard and trying to do justice to his role in "Krrish 2", the sequel to 2006 superhero movie "Krrish".

Vivek is also very content with the positive energy on the sets of the movie and tells he is lucky to be working with senior Roshan, as well as his son Hrithik, who keeps boosting his self-assurance.

"When you get that kind of encouragement from your co-star, from somebody who is doing so well , it's a great atmosphere on the set. There is no insecurity, no negativity. It's a great set to be on," told Vivek, who was recently ousted from "Shootout at Wadala".

After a lull in his career, 2012 looks promising for Vivek, who is also working in "Kismet, Love, Paisa Dilli" opppsite Mallika Sherawat and "Zilla Ghaziabad".

Vivek Oberoi signs Nambiar's next, titled "David"!

2012 seems to be Vivek Oberoi's year, with the actor to be seen yet again as an action hero in several movies this year. But he regrets not being part of Bijoy Nambiar's debut movie "Shaitaan".

But, now he has signed Nambiar's next, titled "David".

"Whoever has seen 'Shaitaan' knows Bijoy is phenomenally talented. Bijoy invited me to see his film and when I went, I told him it's a fabulous film... something new and something different. Bijoy turned around and said I pursued you for three months to act in this film," Oberoi said.

"And that's when I realized that with the whole system, unfortunately a lot of good things, unnecessarily at times, get filtered. You don't get actors to some genuinely talented people. Apparently, he (Nambiar) sent me the script and the script never reached me. That time I committed whatever he was doing next, I will be the part of it. It was very sweet of him that the minute he was ready with the script, he called me up I read the script and I loved it," he included.

Besides "David", Oberoi is presently shooting for "Krrish 3" and is getting positive response from his co-star Hrithik Roshan. He couldn't stop admiring Roshan.

"Hrithik is very loving and warm person. When he saw me performing he made a gesture and said 'I want to give you a hug, man'. When I was done with my shot he said it was an awesome performance. When you get that kind of encouragement from your co star who is doing so well, it feels great. There is no insecurity, no negativity on sets."

Vivek Oberoi’s missed to perform in New Year’s Eve due to cops’ disturbance!

The New Year’s Eve did not go as Vivek Oberoi had planned. The Bollywood actor was all set to give a performance at the Country Club in Andheri. But guess what happened?? Well, the cops did not allow the gig to happen.

Well, the reason the cops stopped the bash from happening was because the organizers failed to take the requisite permission to hold a bash.

It was literally a drama, that day. A crowd of around 2000 people were present at the venue, to be entertained by Vivek. The angry viewers and the actor were asked to leave the party for their safety.

However, soon the matter was settled and the actor was called back to the club. On returning to the venue, the cops who were still present there did not allow the party to begin.

One thing good that happened was that as promised by the organizers, Vivek got his cheque of Rs 80 lakh.

The actor is presently holidaying with his wife.

Vivek Oberoi advises people to support senior citizens!

Actor Vivek Oberoi is urging people to join him in supporting Manav Astha Foundation, a charitable organization that provides means to unfortunate senior citizens to visit pilgrimages in the country.

'Join me in supporting the Manav Aastha Foundation which started 'Moksha Yatra' - providing free pilgrimages for underprivileged senior citizens,' Vivek wrote on micro-blogging site.

The 35-year-old has been associated with various charitable foundations and causes, such as the Yashodhara Oberoi Foundation, Project Hope and Project Devi and this association will be an addition to his social work.

He freshly received Heroes of Philanthropy award by Forbes Asia for his charitable works.
