Raveena's best Valentine's Day was a romantic evening with her husband!

Actress Raveena Tandon tells her best Valentine's Day was when her husband Anil Thadani presented her with a romantic evening.

"He had booked a poolside in a hotel that was very beautiful. The whole poolside was booked for us and there was not a single soul. There were red flowers everywhere, there was a band playing and it was just him and me sitting on a beach front. So, I think that was our best memory," told the 37-year-old at an event.

The National Award-winning actress tied the knot with Thadani, a film distributor, in 2004 and tells now their kids join them every time they go out.

She is looking forward to this year's Valentine's Day too but tells that now it's more of a family affair.

"Now we go for dinner and our kids are along with us. My daughter is busy drawing hearts for us. At every stage of your life, it's a different fun together," told Raveena who was last seen in "Bbuddah...Hoga Terra Baap."

She will soon be seen in "Shovna Seven Nights" opposite Rohit Roy as well as "Gin Liya Aasman" and another untitled movie that will go on floors in March.

Raveena Tandon understands showbiz business’s insecurities!

Actress Raveena Tandon feels that in showbiz, insecurities are part and parcel of life.

The actress made the candid confession during an episode of UTV Stars' "Superstar Santa" while trying to mend a broken relationship of a girl and her possessive boyfriend.

The girl works in showbiz and her erratic working hours didn't go down too well with the guy.

At this point, Raveena intervened and told the girl that his insecurities and possessiveness were justified.

"Bollywood as an industry is such that insecurities are part and parcel of life!" told the actress, who has been in Bollywood for over two decades.

Says Raveena Tandon “I like wearing outfits that suit my body and personality. Styles come and go. Not every style suits people. For me, simple dressing goes a long way. I do not succumb to trends”

Raveena Tandon is also unmoved by fashion critics and sports whatever she feels most comfortable in.

“ I love wedges. Even though the fashion police has been going at me over my footwear choices, they don’t know that I have a foot problem, which is why I prefer wearing comfortable shoes” adds Raveena.

Raveena Tandon to host lifestyle show!

The gorgeous Raveena Tandon is on a roll –After having completed shooting for the thriller, Alert, in Goa with Sanjay Dutt. She has also signed on a comedy opposite Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Irrfan Khan.

Says Raveena  “It's a masala movie and I'm debating between two roles”

She tops that up with Mamma Kehti Hain -a film about a mother and a child: “And though no one in my family went missing, the script brought tears to my eyes” adds the National Award winning actress.

However Raveena is really looking forward to playing an abused socialite wife ,in a relationship with a toy boy, in Sudipto Chattopadhyay's Shobhana's 7 Nights. “It's a daringly different role in terms of approach. And despite the title, it's not a sleazy porn film, but an expose of Mumbai's dark underbelly and its strange creatures of the night, “ she says, adding, “I've heard and read about young strugglers becoming victims of casting agents and getting into affairs with older women, but Sudipto's film is an eye-opener that unveils an exciting new chapter in my career.“

If that wasn’t all ,Raveena Tandon has also been roped in to host a lifestyle show that documents the success stories of achievers from different fields –While the celebrities being considered include business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ,details of the show are being kept under wraps –For now all the actress is ready to divulge is  “Yes, I'm hosting a lifestyle show for NDTV.“

Raveena obsessed with 'D.K. Bose'!

Actress Raveena Tandon is a nervous mother these days! Not so much because of multi-tasking at home, but because she is so hooked on to the double-meaning hit number 'D.K. Bose' and is buzzing it all the time.

'GOD! This bhaag dk is so catchy; have to catch myself from humming in front of the kids! Had changed pappu can't dance sala to Salsa! iska kya? (sic),' wrote Raveena, who has two kids - daughter Rasha, six, and four-year-old son Ranbir.

The 36-year-old, who has moved into a new house, is hard pressed for time.

'Ok bhaag ... Bose bhaag bhaag!! Zats what my life has been 3 days... Schools reopened, scrap book had to be finished, curtains to be chosen, blog to be written, scripts to be read, meetings with interior designers to be finalized, more stuff to be brought from old house.'

'Kids swim, kathak, taekwondo, football, Gk, drama, math, all classes to be remembered and reached on time!! Phew! Being a working housewife, NOT EASY!' she included.

Raveena was last seen in a cameo role in 'Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baap'.

Raveena's Item No. chopping act disappoints Fans!

Actress Raveena Tandon who freshly wowed viewers with her Chandigarh di star song told that fans had tweeted her their dissatisfaction because the song was not included in the recently released Big B starrer Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap'.

Speaking to media persons at an event convened at Bandra in suburban Mumbai, Raveena revealed, "Many of my fans tweeted that they were disappointed as the song was not included in the movie." When asked her reactions about the song not being included in the movie, Raveena said nonchalantly, "I always knew that the song was meant for promotions and was never going to be shown in the movie."

Raveena also disclosed that she did not anticipate the song would be such a hit. "However, it was much later when I saw the response of people that I realized that the song had been a hit. I have always been fortunate enough to have great music in my dance numbers," told the National Film Award winning actress.

Gulshan Grover and Raveena Tandon support PETA's new campaign for Stray Dogs

Bollywood rogue Gulshan Grover might have been called a kutta by many a hero over the past years on screen, but the silver screen villain rooted for the cause of adopting stray dogs at a PETA event in Bandra. PETA's new campaign which urged animal lovers to adopt rather than buy a canine companion was inaugurated by actress Raveena Tandon and Gulshan Grover at a suburban Mumbai venue.

"I have always been an animal lover and even as a kid, I used to bring home stray puppies and kittens. Now, so many years later, all my three daughters have adopted three stray dogs each. I have always maintained that adopting a stray dog is much more advisable that buying an imported pedigree dog as a status symbol," told Raveena.

Gulshan Grover, in contrast, remembered with amusement his fear of dogs which was finally transformed into love after his son, who stays in the US adopted three rescued dogs. "The first time I visited my son after he had adopted the dogs, I was terrified initially but the way the three dogs displayed their affection towards me helped me get rid of my fear," he laughed quietly.

Grover also raved about all the vegetarian actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Raveena Tandon who he claimed were much fitter and had a glow on their face because of their diet.

If it wasn't for the item-girl label, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon could have stepped into the shoes of Malaika Arora Khan and danced on the roof of the train in popular item-number 'Chaiya-Chaiya' from 'Dil Se'!

'Incidentally!! 'Chaiya chaiya' was offered to me first!! I'd already done many songs that I said no to this, afraid will be labelled item girl! ha ha,' Raveena revealed on her bolg.

But presently, she is doing item number for film Bbudha hoga tera baap. It may be, after marriage, item no. phobia has gone.

Raveena Tandon says, Aishwarya and me dreamed of a happy settled family life!

Just like any lady, Aishwarya Rai, who is expecting her first child, too had dreamt of a happy family life with kids, recalls Raveena Tandon of how the two of them had discussed their wish to have a well-settled family life.

'I remember, she and me together on flights, going for concerts, chatting, long hrs away, then too she dreamed of a happy settled family life,' Raveena wrote on her blog page after learning that Aishwarya and Abhishek are soon going to be parents.

'She's another scorpion whose molded her life into exactly what she wanted!! A loving husband! A good family, successful career and now babies!' included the 36-year-old.

After a successful stint in Bollywood, Raveena got wedded to film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004 and they have two children - six-year-old daughter Rasha, and three-year-old son Ranbir.

Raveena Tandon’s sexy and alluring song 'Main Chandigarh di star' in 'Bbuddah ...'!

Raveena Tandon who is making a comeback to item songs with her number 'Main Chandigarh di star' in 'Bbuddah ... Hoga Terra Baap', doesn't call it her comeback movie.

'Comeback is a very overrated word. Whenever I do something after even a little gap people term it as a comeback. How many times will I make a comeback? I would prefer to call it a backdoor entry into films,' she told.

Raveena, who last had a release in 2006 with a movie called 'Sandwich', has really shaped up and lost oodles of weight. She is known for her moves in item songs like 'Tu cheez badi hai mast mast', 'Yeh raat' and 'Shehar ki ladki'. But the actress maintains that her item song in 'Bbuddah...' is not a usual item number.

'Honestly it's not a typical item song of today. The coinage of an item song nowadays is a little different. Now item means something else only, but I have maintained that please don't expect a lot from the song because I am fully clothed in it,' Raveena said in an interview.

Raveena told she loved her character in the movie.

'It is a very cool, fun song. The character of the girl, who is a very talkative, over dressed, over the top person, and thinks of herself as a rockstar, is understood through this song,' she told.

'So, basically, it is an introduction to my character. It is catchy and I loved moving on it. The best thing was that we finished it in one shift,' she included.

In the movie that has been directed by Puri Jagannath and is slated to hit screens July 1, the 36-year-old actress will be seen opposite Amitabh Bachchan and this will be her fourth film with the megastar after 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', 'Aks' and 'Agni Varsha'.

'When this film was offered to me first, I had thought that I won't be able to do it, but then everyone said that you have to do it because this is perfect for you and only you can do it. Then I got to know that Mr. Bachchan is behind this, so I thought that even if I have five scenes with him, it will be great for me. This will be my fourth film with him, so in that thought I said yes to this film,' told the actress.

Recalling her experience of working with the 68-year-old actor this time around, Raveena told, 'My equation with Mr. Bachchan depends on the film that I am doing with him. Like in 'Bade Miyan...', I was like a brat with him always, since he has seen me since my childhood. But in 'Aks', it was very difficult for me because I had a very different role there.'

A mother of two, Raveena said she is overawed by Bachchan.

'I have idolised him since my childhood. Whenever I meet him I start rambling, I become nervous when he is around and I goof up a lot; so throughout 'Aks' I kept a distance from him, so that I can do the strong, confrontational, intense scenes with him,' Raveena told.

'In this film, it was very comfortable because I'm playing myself a carefree person. I was allowed to say anything to him because the character was like this; so I wasn't even scared that he might feel bad. It was very easy and fun to play this role with him,' she included.

Raveena has previously completed a bilingual movie called 'Laboratory'. She is also doing 'Aap Ke Liye Hum' with Jaya Bachchan which is still under production.
