Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi became proud parents of a baby girl on Friday, January 20, 2012. The gorgeous couple have named their daughter Saira Bhupathi.

Raveena Tandon posted, “My friends, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are proud parents of a baby girl!!Saira Bhupathi Welcome Angel”!!

India’s tennis star Sania Mirza’s father’s Blackberry status told, “Welcoming Saira Bhupathi in this world.”

Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is shining these days. After all, she is expecting her first child with husband, ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, who wishes for a daughter.

The baby is due in February.

'90 percent predictions told that it is a baby boy and as for us, we don't know that, so we will be equally surprised,' the 33-year-old actress told at her baby shower.

'I have my fingers crossed for a girl but I am being happy about anything,' the father-to-be Mahesh chipped in.

Lara and tennis player Mahesh tied the knot in February this year. Before meeting her husband, Lara had dated Kelly Dorjee for around seven years; while Mahesh divorced his wife, model Shvetha Jaishankar, of seven years.

Lara, who turned producer with 'Challo Dilli' this year, is awaiting her next release 'Don 2: The King Is Back'.

Next year the former beauty queen will be seen in Ravi Chopra's 'Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai'.

Lara was crowned Miss Universe in 2000 and afterward entered Bollywood in 2003 with 'Andaz' opposite Akshay Kumar. She went on to work in movies like 'Masti', 'Kaal', 'No Entry', 'Zinda', 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom', 'Partner' and 'Housefull'.

Actress Lara Dutta, who is pregnant with her first child, is exasperated with the number of clothes that she owns.

"House looks like a warehouse!! I've FINALLY realized that I have way too many clothes than I can ever wear! Besides already giving away TONS!" Lara wrote on micro-blogging site.

It seems that the excited mum-to-be is busy making space for her baby's clothes and toys.

Lara is wedded to tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi.

After actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s recent declaration of her pregnancy, speculations are widespread about the other Bunt community lady from Bollywood, actor Shilpa Shetty.

However, she’s not alone as scuttlebutt is abuzz with news that the Bollywood actress turned film producer, Lara Dutta who recently wed tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi early this year, too is in the family way.

A source close to the couple reveals, “Lara and Mahesh have always taken things as they come. Though they have been busy with their respective work, they feel it’s the right time to have a kid. Besides, Lara has just finished shooting for Don 2, and is working on her next home production now. She may or she may not feature in her next film.”

Since it’s still in the early stages, the duo will apparently make the announcement only when they feel it’s the right time for it. “It is considered inauspicious to speak about the pregnancy until its completed three months. Right now they are really under wraps about the whole thing and do not want too many people’s attention,” tells the source.
