SRK's Happy New Year to release this Diwali!

If all goes well, the Bollywood box office will belong to Shah Rukh Khan this Diwali -- his much-awaited movie "Happy New Year" is scheduled for an Oct 23 release.

An official source said, "'Happy New Year' will be a Diwali release."

It will be officially announced through the film's first poster, which will be launched Thursday on the movie's social media pages - Twitter and Facebook.

"Happy New Year", directed by Farah Khan and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd., is being positioned exclusively as a musical heist.

The movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.

Farah and Shah Rukh's past associations in movies like "Main Hoon Na" and "Om Shanti Om" have turned out to be gold spinners.

They are doing every bit to spread the right kind of buzz about "Happy New Year".

The film's social media platforms have been very active and their first topic 'wacky wishes' has been trending on Twitter.

Also, a huge social media campaign has been set around the launch of the first poster of the movie. The lead actors are actively participating in the campaign for the first poster launch.

Shah Rukh feels jealous of Sonu Sood!

Actor Sonu Sood tells his "Happy New Year" co-actor Shah Rukh Khan is jealous of his talent of portraying negative characters.

Sonu has tried his hand at negative and positive roles in his career, but King Khan is particularly in awe of his depiction of a villain.

At the unveiling of the cover of Health and Nutrition magazine featuring him Monday, Sonu was asked why he hardly features in positive roles.

He told, "I have done a lot of positive roles and I have a positive role in 'Happy New Year' also. But like I said, times have changed. You just need to entertain, whether it's a positive or a negative role."

"Recently, when we were shooting for 'Happy New Year,' Shah Rukh told me that 'I get very jealous of you when you do negative roles and I also want to do an out-and-out negative roles without any songs," further added Sonu, who was seen as villain Chhedi Singh in "Dabangg".

Sonu told he is open to all kinds of roles, provided they are good.

"As long as I get to do good roles, it doesn't really matter whether it's a positive or a negative role," the 41-year-old told.

Sonu's last negative role was in "R...Rajkumar" in a negative role.

Katrina’s romance with SRK for Happy New Year!

If reports are to be believed, Katrina Kaif will be the leading lady opposite Shahrukh Khan in Happy New year. After the last iconic movie directed by the late Yash Chopra 'Jab tak hai jaan', this will be their next movie where SRK and Kat will be seen together.

If sources are to be believed, filmmaker Farah Khan has zeroed in Kat for her film 'Happy New Year'. This is the second movie where Katrina and Farah will be working together, after Tees Maar Khan.
