Salman’s father says, ‘Ab sojao beta...’ to Kabir Khan after seeing film “Ek Tha Tiger”!

Salman's father Salim Khan

Salman Khan’s dad, Salim Khan has given his approval to Ek Tha Tiger. This means a lot not just to Salman Khan but director Kabir Khan too.

Director Kabir Khan showed the film to the eminent scriptwriter, and he seemed quite happy with it. He feels, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ will be a landmark in Salman’s career.

Kabir tweeted, “Showed ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ to a living legend of screenwriting in Hindi cinema. At the end of the film he hugged me and said – ‘Ab sojao beta..’. With a beaming smile he said – ‘it’s a landmark film for Salman’. It was the man whose films we saw and studied in film school. It was Salim Khan.”/em>

“Ek Tha Tiger” will see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif together on screen after 4 long years. The film is produced by Yash Raj Films and is slated for release on Aug 15.

Salman Visits Pakistan first time for the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’!

Salman Khan, Director Kabir Khan

Pakistan has banned the trailer and promos of Salman Khan starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ as the movie mentions ISI and RAW, the secretive spy agencies of Pakistan and India respectively. All distribution networks and satellite channels in Pakistan have been asked to stop airing the film’s promos.

The film’s director Kabir Khan blamed jingoistic anti-Pak movies for the neighbouring country’s hostile attitude towards ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. But the film’s Pakistani distributor is confident that despite the ban, the movie can still garner about Rs 10 crore as there is a huge demand for it.

In the meantime, Salman Khan along with Kabir Khan are reported to be willing to visit Pakistan to promote their movie. Salman has never visited Pakistan and Kabir said both were willing to do anything to assuage Pakistanis that the movie was not against them.

Kabir Khan finds Tigress with Tiger Salman in Turkey!

Director Kabir Khan is busy panning his camera across Istanbul, where he has gone to shoot Yash Raj Films' (YRF) 'Ek Tha Tiger', starring former off screen duo Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
'Tiger has landed in Istanbul... Schedule 2 begins. Stunning Istanbul... perfect backdrop for the Tiger in action,' Khan, who had previously directed 'Kabul Express' and 'New York', wrote on Twitter.
YRF had released a one-of-its-kind digital poster for the film in August. The poster pans into a wide view of a populated city, and slowly depicts a silhouette of a well-built man with a scarf flying from his neck. But Khan clarifies the city depicted in the poster is not Istanbul.
'That's another magical city which I will reveal only in the movie,' he posted. 'Tigress bhi yahin hai (The tigress is also here)' -- perhaps a reference to Katrina.
The movie, to be released worldwide June 1, 2012, is based on a story by Aditya Chopra while the screenplay and dialogues are by Kabir and Neelesh Misra.
The first schedule took place in Dublin after Salman came back on his feet post his surgery to treat a nerve condition that has been causing pain in his cheeks and jaw.

Salman-Katrina’s reunion in Iraq!

The YRF venture, Ek Tha Tiger, is taking the genre of a romantic thriller to an entire new level. The Salman Khan Katrina Kaif starrer directed by Kabir Khan, would be the first Bollywood movie to be shot in Iraq.
For understandable reasons, acquiring the permission has been quite a feat. Reportedly, YRF sent a letter to the Iraqi government a few months ago, requesting for permission to shoot a major action sequence in the country with Salman.
Not only has the government granted filming permissions, but has also made provisions to ensure the security of the cast and crew. And to top it off, the government has made arrangements for the crew to commute by helicopter from one shooting location to another.
A source tells, “It was expected that the permission would be granted. We guess Iraq wants to convey loud and clear that all is well in their country.”
However, as with most decisions that affect the Dabangg man, the move to approach the Iraqi government did not happen before Kabir and YRF sought Salman’s permission. The source included, “Salman is extremely excited about shooting in Iraq. When Kabir Khan told him about the schedule in Iraq, he instantly agreed.”
The director is scheduled to leave for Iraq today to scout around for the exact locations for shoot. The source explained, “He will be zeroing down on the spots where Salman will shoot. He will return in a week. After that, he will go to Iraq with Salman, in August.”
Sorry to say, Salman, who will have to stay in the country for a minimum of eight days for the action sequence, will experience this rare opportunity solo, as his off-screen ex-girlfriend and the film’s lead actress, Katrina Kaif, will not be needed for the shoot.
