While the promotions of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ are in full swing in
metropolis, Salman refuses to promote the film in small cities. And the
superstar’s cause of concern to do so is because of the fear of creating a
security situation for the fans.
In a recent interview Salman told, “It’s not about crowd
control. There are women and kids and in their enthusiasm, the men try to take
advantage of the fact that there are women in the crowd. Then there are kids
and senior citizens who are pushed around. God forbid, if something happens, it
comes on to us.”
“If someone gets injured, that’s Ok but god forbids if
someone dies in these mishaps, then the responsibility falls on us. Then if our
security guard pushes someone to protect us, then that also becomes a big
issue. So it’s better to stay away from all this,” he further added.
Meanwhile the ‘Tiger’ has had an amazing run at the box
office. All his recent movies have turned out to be big blockbusters and all
Salman has to say is that it’s the people who work behind the scenes that make
the film an excellent final product.
The 46 year old told, “I have just been lucky. There are
people who have worked very hard on their own craft that has made me reach this
phase of my life. There are films that have already been made and have done OK
and have been great for me, lots of people have worked hard on them.”
“Like now, Kabir (Khan) has worked really hard on his script
and direction. Adi (Aditya Chopra) and Yash Raj have put in a lot of creativity
and money in Tiger (‘Ek Tha Tiger’). So when all these things come together on
screen, I am going to be hugely benefited by the success of the Friday,” Salman
further added.
Salman and Katrina will be seen in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and the
movie will hit theaters on the 15th of august.
