Nawazuddin Siddiqui won Best Actor at New York Indian Film Festival!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's list of honors keep on increasing. He lately added another feather? to his cap. He was given the Best Actor award at the 15th New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) lately.

Fascinatingly, he received the award for a movie titled Haramkhor which is yet to release in India. There is no word or whisper about the movie's release date here at all. Nawazuddin was aware that he was nominated for the award but was astonished that he won. He has been busy shooting for Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Kashmir and hasn't had the time to pay attention to anything else at the moment. In addition to this his cell has limited reception which meant that he was cut off from news for long periods of time. Because of Bajrangi Bhaijaan's tight schedule, he will be incapable to go to New York to personally collect the award. But, he took to Twitter recently to tell, "This award is certainly an honour, thank you so much #NYIFF ". Siddiqui will also be seen in Raees along with Shah Rukh Khan.

Varun Dhawan feels late actor-singer Frank Sinatra’s sprit!

Actor Varun Dhawan, who had shot for some portions of forthcoming dance flick ABCD 2 in Las Vegas, evidently had a paranormal experience while sleeping in his hotel suite in the Sin City.

Sources close to the actor claim that the suite in which Dhawan had been put up, had been a favorite of legendary actor-singer Frank Sinatra during his glory days and the local staff had said Varun stories about how Sinatra's spirit still haunts the suite. Though Varun laughed off the stories, it seems that one night, when Varun went to the suite to sleep after a tough day on the sets, he started hearing someone singing songs in the suite and even the door creaked open on its own! Unnecessary to say, this experience left Varun shaken, who is still unconfident about whether it was actually Sinatra's spirit or his own imagination.

It seems that Sinatra would often stay in the same suite, which was later named the 'Sinatra Suite', whenever he would come to Vegas to perform and legend has it that his spirit has not 'checked out' of the suite ever since.

Is Deepika Padukone look like A Giraffe?

Bollywood stars are frequently given pet names. Either it’s a family affair (Hrithik Roshan is Duggu while Kareena Kapoor Khan is Bebo) other times it’s the media (Katrina Kaif as Kat) or sometimes, it's colleagues who come up with a funny name.

Abhishek Bachchan started with the fashion years ago when he started calling Priyanka Chopra 'Piggy Chops' on the sets of Bluffmaster. Lately, Deepika Padukone was called a 'Giraffe' and this nick name was given by none other than director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Bhansali generally comes across as a quite person and a total hermit, hence it's surprising that he called her such a fun and not-so-politically correct name. Remarkably Deepika is the only actress after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who has been cast in his movie more than once. Clearly the two share a great bond. Sanjay gushed about her in a recent interview saying that he gets hypnotized when he sees her face on screen and that she has swan-like neck. When Dippy heard this compliment, she says that she has been called a gazelle, a swan and sometimes even a giraffe! After working together in Goliyon Ki RaasLeela: Ram-Leela, they have teamed up again for Bajirao Mastani, which will release this year.

I declared my love for Varun Dhawan years ago: Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor might have been linked with Aditya Roy Kapur ever since they starred in Aashiqui 2, but it seems that once upon a time, Shraddha's heart beat for her ABCD 2 co-star Varun Dhawan!

Go into detail on the same, Shraddha told that she and Varun were good friends during their childhood as they used to meet up on film sets and that at the time, Shraddha had a big infatuation on Varun and also said him 'I love you' in reverse, to which the little Varun strictly replied 'No' before running away from the spot.

Shraddha told that while shooting for the forthcoming dance film ABCD 2, she suddenly remembered the incident and the two had a big laugh over it.

Nargis Fakhri to enact Sangeeta Bijlani in Azharuddin biopic?

In this season of biopics, Ekta Kapoor's movie on cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin named Azhar is gradually shaping up. The movie will have Emraan Hashmi essaying the role of the cricketer while Prachi Desai will be playing his first wife Naureen. But apart from these two, Bollywood fans are very keen on knowing who will play the role Azharuddin's second wife Sangeeta Bijlani. Popularly known as 'Bijli' Sangeeta added a touch of glamour to the couple's personal life which automatically sparked media interest.

Sangeeta is a former Bollywood actress and model who featured in hit movies like Tridev and Jurm. She shot to fame when she started dating Bollywood megastar Salman Khan before she married Azharuddin. After being married for a period of 14 years, the duo filed for divorce. According to sources, Nargis Fakhri is a strong contender for this role in the movie as she can add that oomph to the character. At the moment, she has dates blocked for the promotion of her Hollywood movie Spy, but once she returns, we hear that she will sign on the dotted line. Firstly Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon were being considered but it seems like Nargis has emerged as the winner.
