A lot of anticipation was built for the Lekar Hum Deewana
Dil A. R. Rahman concert and at last yet another hero from the Kapoor clan,
Armaan Jain made a mesmerizing entry on stage as he performed on Mawwali
Qawwali and the crowd went mad cheering for this debutant. Inspite of all the
cheering and support Armaan confessed of being bit anxious, “haven’t heard
myself on mic for a long time, I am slight nervous. Thanks everyone for being
here and supporting.”
Besides Armaan’s rocking dance it was AR Rahman’s live show
that stole the show. At first Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’s (LHDD) director Arif Ali
was sceptical if Rahman would agree to do the music. Rahman told “While telling
me the story Arif started crying in the last 15 minutes so I knew this story is
attached with him deep down within and I agreed to give music for the film.”
What made an interesting visual was to see the whole Kapoor
Khaandaan together (sans Ranbir) under one roof. Imtiaz Ali, Karisma Kapoor,
Kareena Kapoor, Rishi, Rajiv & Randhir Lapoor launched the music CD of LHDD
along with the whole cast. The lead actress of the movie Deeksha claimed to be
on cloud9 as AR Rahman performed all the songs of her debut movie.
