We had reported that actress Preity Zinta had filed a
complaint at Marine Drive Police station, accusing her ex-boyfriend and
business partner Ness Wadia, of molesting her inside Wankhede stadium in south
Mumbai. The incident took place on May 30, following which Preity gave a
written complaint and lodged an FIR on Thursday,
12 June 2014 .
The FIR lodged by the actress confirmed that Ness Wadia
harassed, abused and threatened her despite their relationship going kaput a
few years ago.
Reacting to the above allegations made againt him; Ness
Wadia said “I am shocked and dismayed. The allegations are totally false and
baseless. He went on to says that he was disgusted with the fact that Preity
could “stoop to such a level.”
So why was there a delay in filing a complaint instantly
after the incident?
A police officer told, “The actor claimed that she had to go
out of the city and hence she could not approach the police earlier. As soon as
she returned, she lodged a complaint.”
Preity Zinta issued a statement to the media, telling, “This
is a very difficult time for me. I request the media to respect my privacy. My
intention isn’t to harm any one but only to protect myself.”
In the meantime, Wadia claims that assaulting the actress is
simply impossible as she is always surrounded by bouncers. A source close to
Wadia told, “Zinta could not digest the fact that her former boyfriend, who is
still her business partner, was involved in another relationship.” They further
included, “His mother had to undergo serious discomfort when attending a Kings
XI Punjab match resulting in an argument between the two. Zinta has been trying
to garner publicity out of whatever is left of her relationship with Wadia.”
