Not important to hang on to six-pack abs, says Farhan Akhtar!

Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who built six-pack abs for his newest release "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", tells he doesn't feel it is necessary to retain the physique as every movie may not require him to look like a "body builder".

"I'm not a body builder. This (the body) was prefect for the role (in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag') and that's why I thought I should do it. But every role has its demands and it is important to understand that you don't want to look the same in every film," the 39-year-old told here at a press conference held for the success of the lately released film.

"I try to mould as much as I can. It felt great to be feeling fit and healthy and if there is something again which demands me to to do it (get such a physique) again, I would gladly do it. But I don't feel it's important to hang on to this, it was for a purpose," he further added.

"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, narrates the journey of former athlete Milkha Singh. Farhan plays the 'Flying Sikh' in the movie, and he has earned rave reviews for his act.

Talking about the learnings and memories he has of working in the movie, Farhan told, "It has been an important and enjoyable experience. But we are still very close to it and only time will tell what memories it leaves behind, what we learn from the experiences."

He tells the "manifestation of the experience happens after some time", but for now he is "only happy that people are liking it".
