Kareena Kapoor gets Rs 1.40 crore for an eight-minute performance!



Kareena Kapoor may have hardly given an eight-minute performance at a Chhattisgarh gig, to mark the 12th foundation day of the state. Any guesses, how much the actress was paid for it???

Well, the Chhattisgarh government disclosed that, a whooping sum of Rs 1.40 crore was shelled out on the Bollywood actress for her performance, which happened last month.

Seemingly, the dance show, which was scheduled to run for two hours, had been cut down to hardly 15 minutes due to heavy rains. Around 245 artistes performed during the weeklong (Nov 1-7) anniversary and the government paid over Rs.5 crore to them.

Besides Bebo, popular artistes such as Sonu Nigam (Rs.36,50,000), Sunidhi Chauhan (Rs.32,00,000), Dia Mirza (Rs.25,00,000), Himesh Reshammiya (Rs.24,00,000) and Pankaj Udhas (Rs.90,000), also performed.

Leave performances along. The minister disclosed that a separate bill of Rs.54,62,461 was spent on inviting the artistes and their travel expenditure while the bill for artistes’ lodging and food was put at Rs.11,67,956.
In the meantime, Kareena Kapoor is busy preparing for her latest role as an investigative journalist in the film Satyagraha, where here character will be based on the CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour.
