Shahrukh Khan translates ‘Challa’ from Jab Tak Hai Jaan!

Shahrukh Khan’s song Challa, has already become a huge hit among his fans and people worldwide song. The song has also become a rage on Youtube, and since the songs lyrics are in Punjabi, some of the listeners had difficulty understanding the song.
So Shahrukh Khan did the needful by braving to translate Gulzar’s lyrics.
Shahrukh posted, “With apologies to Gulzar sahib, sorry sir, i attempted the Challa lyrics translation in a poem.”
Here’s how SRK’s poetic translation goes:
Wanderer, mad with love,
What do you search for?
Asking people far and wide,
Where the one does reside,
You roam the streets, end to end,
You laugh, you cry,
You urge every passerby,
Hiding the hurt in your smile,
That you belong to all the world,
Yet no one is yours to hold,
The colours of a rainbow,
Converge in her eye,
Her voice is as pure,
As a bulbul’s cry,
She walks in the fiery sun,
But shadows cover her,
Through every blackened cloud you try,
To find the furtive white moonlight,
You even hear a gentle lilt,
In the soundless stirring of the wind,
You tell all those looking on,
That your lover lives close by,
Your gaze deceives itself you say,
Never pausing along your way,
Her scent is wrapped around your soul,
You wear it knowing everyday,
The one you search for desperately,
Will come to love you back someday.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan…
Watch the song out!
