Imran Khan has been confirmed as the younger lead in
Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K. which also stars Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma. This
will be the uncle and nephew’s first film together. Originally, Ranbir Kapoor
and Ranveer Singh were approached for Imran’s role.
Reason why Ranbir had said NO to the movie was because he is
already working with Anushka Sharma in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet.
Ranveer said NO to the movie not because of Anushka Sharma
but some other personal issues.
Buzz has it that it was Aamir Khan who suggested Imran’s
name to Hirani and clearly, the dutiful nephew was not one to say no. However,
Imran was also in search of a nice solid script and when this came his way, he
jumped on it.
Filming will start after Aamir wraps Dhoom 3 and will
release on December 25, 2013.
