Kimberly Pierce is remaking Brian De
Palma's classic horror Carrie, and it looks like she’s putting together quite a
cast! For starters, Chloe Moretz will play the troubled and telekinetic title
character, and now Julianne Moore has signed on to star as her mother Margaret
White. If you haven’t seen the original then let me tell you that Carrie’s
fundamentally religious mother is as much to blame for her eventual slash-happy
ways as the bullies that torment her. On another bright note Kimberly is using
Stephen King's original novel as inspiration for her remake, so it should be a
pretty fresh take on this high school-set nightmare. Just so you, this one is
NOT for the weak hearted!
