Kangana’s Lady Gaga connection!

Kangana Ranaut is all set to do wonders in Krrish 2 and her character in the film is definitely not going to be like any other character she has essayed till now. In the upcoming flick Krrish 2, Kangs is seen as a mutant.

Her look in the film is going to be something like a Catwoman. She will don a killer bodysuit for which she is believed to have lost 5 kilos to fit her in the superwoman suit.

It seems a plastic-like material from the US has been sourced by the actress’s designer, Gavin Miguel. A source is quoted as telling, “One of the teams sourced to make the outfit for her in Krissh also stitches Lady Gaga’s costumes.”

Wearing the dress of a femme fatale mutant is not going to be easy for Kangana. The source reveals, “She will have to apply special oil on herself to be able to wear it”.

It is heard that Kangana’s character of a mutant is inspired by Mystique from the X-Men series.

SRK is happy to play Don Character!

More than playing a superhero, the Baadshah of Bollywood, SRK prefers playing a Don. Shahrukh Khan discloses the reason.

“Doing a music video for Don2…I really enjoy being Don… all that I am not I get to do,” Shahrukh posted.

For the music video, it is heard that Shahrukh is also trying hard to get a beard. However, the actor enjoyed shooting for the video and never forgot to thank the people around him.

“Having fun shooting Don2 song…its so heartwarming to be with ppl who lov u as they work. Thanx Vaibhavi Farhan & Bose..feel happy at shoot,” Shahrukh Khan wrote.

Don 2 will also release in 3D on December 23.

I can never find a soul-mate if I continue to be ‘Bhai’ to everyone: Salman khan

It all happened in Dubai, at an event when someone addressed Salman Khan as ‘Bhai’. Salman instantly retorted saying, he doesn’t welcome anyone but his two sisters calling him Bhai.

Well, the reason is not very obvious. But, if buzz is to be believed, the star has wedding on his mind

According to a popular magazine, Salman Khan has opened up to a close friend who also happens to be one of his co-stars that he is tired of his single status and that it is high time he settles down.

The co-star and friend told, “Salman has changed. He has become progressively protective and guardian-like towards his younger heroines Kareena, Katrina and Sonakshi. But the flip side is, he now feels that if he continues to be the universal ‘Bhai’ no girl would ever want to marry him.”

Another friend of the actor tells, “Salman has told all of us guys that only Arbaaz and Sohail and his sisters will be allowed to address him as ‘Bhai.’ He is fed up of being the universal brother. He keeps saying he can never find a soul-mate if he continues to be ‘Bhai’ to everyone.”

Katrina Kaif is the first choice for YRF!

It was first Kareena Kapoor, who had an occasion to work with all the three super Khans in the movie industry and now, looks like Katrina Kaif is going the Kareena way.

We are all aware about the beautiful damsel working with the hunk Salman Khan in Ek Tha Tiger. We also know that Kats is the new face in the Dhoom series which has Aamir Khan also. And now, it is verified that she is doing a movie with the king of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, which will go on floors in Januray 2012. And what’s more interesting is that all the three films belong to the Yashraj production house.

Well, till date, Katrina has done two movies with the Yashraj banner as New York and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and both the movie done pretty well at the Box Office.

Claims a spokesperson for the production house, “The decision to have Katrina in three films was made on the basis of only one parameter – the script – followed by the director’s vision. Katrina was always the director’s first choice for two of those three films,” tells YRF spokesperson.

Kareena says ‘Yes’ for sex with Imran but Imran denies for it?

Despite being the 21st century, the word ‘sex’ is still considered a dirty word by the Central Board of Film Certification.

The promo of Karan Johar and UTV Motion Pictures produced venture, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu starring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, was refused an U certificate and the reason was because it had the word ‘sex’ in one of the sentences and hence. It cannot be aired on national television.

According to a close source, “The film has a scene where a person asks Kareena and Imran if they’ve had sex. To this, Kareena replies ‘Yes’ and Imran says ‘No’. The objection was outrageous. Trailers of many other recent movies with objectionable dialogues and scenes have been given the nod.”

The source further adds, “KJo and Shakun have however, taken it in their stride. They are now reworking on the new version. If this same decision was passed earlier, Karan and Shakun might have decided to ‘beep’ out the word. However, since beeps are not allowed any longer, they will have to rework a lot of things to get the flow right.”

“They want the trailer to get an U certificate and not an A. They want it to get attached to as many films as possible,” included the source.

Karan Johar confirmed the news, “For now, I am attaching the current trailer of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu to The Dirty Picture, which has been given an A certificate.

I wouldn’t like to say much on this. Honestly, it wouldn’t be correct for me to say for or against the censor board’s decision taken on the trailer of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. As a law-abiding filmmaker, I would rather do what I have been told (pauses). I am sure that they would be cooperative when we submit the new version.”

SRK advices Salman should collect awards personally!

SRK wants to leave the memories of the past by an important, compulsory act on Airtel Superstar Awards to hit the TV world  on STAR Plus, STAR Utsav, STAR Gold, STAR One.

The declaration of the award for the Best Onscreen Couple as given by the youth, public at large was awarded to Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

The Bodyguard namely Salman Khan was not there in Mumbai. Salman's sister and brother - in - law Atul Agnihotri, who produced Bodyguard went up on the stage to get the award on Salman's side. SRK was very much friendly, appreciated the work of Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the movie Bodyguard. SRK made a statement that it would have been good if both the actors would have been there to get the award.

The audiences were very much surprised by hearing this. SRK and Salman were cast with each other in movies namely Karan Arjun, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, and friendly appearance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Both King Khan and Bodyguard should have healthy competition with each other.

The fate of 'Mehrunissa' in the Big B's hands!

The fortune of Sudhir Mishra's classic love story 'Mehrunissa' now hinges completely on Amitabh Bachchan's approval, as everything else associated with the movie is already in place.

If the sources are to be believed, UTV has decided to produce the movie and the shooting is set to begin in Lucknow, March next year.

'UTV has decided to come on board to produce what promises to be one of the most expensive films in the history of Indian commercial cinema,' told a source close to the project.

In this Hindu-Muslim love story, Rishi Kapoor plays a Hindu lawyer while Amitabh Bachchan will play a Muslim commissioner of police.

And if Big B decides to come on board, Amitabh and Rishi will be coming together on the big screen after a gap of 28 years. The two had last worked together in 'Coolie' in 1983.

Talking about the story, Rishi disclosed, 'It is a story about two best friends who haven't spoken for 40 years. It's a romantic film, but also very funny. We're going to have look-alike playing the young Rishi Kapoor and the Big B. I want to work with Amitji. Now it all depends on him.'

As the 69-year-old superstar is busy taking care of his newly found joy, his granddaughter, these days, sources say he is enjoying this beautiful time.

'Amitji has just finished a very invigorating season of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 5'. The excitement of having achieved something extraordinary had not settled down when the little one came,' told a source.

'The household at the moment moves completely according to the baby. At the moment, Big B is enjoying his state of contemplative joblessness,' he included.

Meanwhile, people behind 'Mehrunissa' are getting nervous and worried, but Nikhil Advani, who has written the script, is sure about one thing.

'Yes, we're waiting for Bachchanji to give his nod. There's no 'Mehrunissa' without him.'

Vidya Balan sheds all her inhibitions for the 'Dirty Picture'!

Actress Vidya Balan has accepted that her character in the movie 'Dirty Picture' required her to shed all her inhibitions, and she described the role to be her toughest till date.

Speaking during the film's promotion, Balan told that after essaying graceful roles in movies like 'Parineeta' and 'Paa', she told it was not a cakewalk for her to portray the character of Silk Smitha.

'Dirty Picture' is a story based on the life of the controversial south Indian actress Vijayalaxmi, who was commonly known as Silk Smitha.

"I think it was extremely challenging and it's probably my toughest role to date, because on the one hand, is this woman who is absolutely brazen about her sexuality, she is volatile, and on the other, she is child like. So, to be able to maintain that balance and to translate that on screen is the tough part, but I have enjoyed playing Silk because it has been very liberating for me in more ways than one," told Balan.

She denied any resemblance with Silk Smitha, stating that the only common thread between them is the fact that the character essays the role of a dancing star in the 80s.

"I am playing Silk in the Dirty Picture and Silk is a dancing star in the 80s, since the film is based in the 80s and she is someone who wears her heart, her mind, her sexuality, everything on her sleeve. She is a lot of fun, she is very brazen and I think her brazenness, her attitude was the large part of the reason that she went on to become a huge star, and here, may I add before anyone asks me, that this is not based on the life of Silk Smitha, the heroine of the 'Dirty Picture' is a dancing star of the 80s and we all know that Silk Smitha was a huge dancing star of the 80s," included Balan.

The tale of the movie is based on the life of Vijayalaxmi, who entertained the people at large with her performances in different movies. However, the controversial actress, who was considered a sex symbol died in mysterious circumstances. News claim that she had committed suicide.

The music of the movie is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and Rajat Aroraa has written the lyrics.

Directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, the movie is slated to hit the screens on December 02, 2011, on the birth anniversary of Smitha.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan opts for a smart reply to deal with Udya Chopra's question of choosing between wife Aishwarya and Beti B.

"I'm gonna ask you a very Uday (bright) question on twitter...Who do you love more, Beti B or Ash?, " Uday, 38, asked Abhishek, 35, on micro-blogging site Twitter.

To which junior B answered, "I love Beti B in Aishwarya's arms the most."

Aishwarya Rai gave birth to her and husband Abhishek Bachchan's first child Nov 16 and since then the entire family, including grandpa Amitabh Bachchan, is busy spending time with the new-born.

"First day back at work after Beti B. And so difficult to concentrate. Thoughts are monopolized by a certain little lady," Abhishek further wrote.

Vidya Balan’s new name is ‘Bombat Balan’

Actress Vidya Balan has been rechristened "Bombaat Balan" by her fans after her sensuous avatar as Silk in her upcoming film "The Dirty Picture".

"Bombaat Balan, people have started calling me Bombat Balan! I found it quite funny the first time, but now I am used to it. Great!," told the actress in an interview.

After having been seen in graceful and classy roles like "Parineeta" and "Paa", Vidya surprised everyone when she determined to play a sex symbol in Milan Luthria's "The Dirty Picutre", but it was not a cakewalk for her.

She added, "I would have to say that Silk (her character name in the film) has been an extremely demanding, exhausting, tiring and yet very fulfilling and exhilarating role for me to have played."

"It's like a workout. Sometimes you kill yourself during the workout and you feel dead after that. But it's also extremely exhilarating and there is a sense of adrenalin rush after the workout and that is how I feel after this movie," Vidya, 32, told.

It may have been an exhausting role but at the same time, Vidya thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing an actress of the 1980s and 1990s.

"Films in those times were full of masala and entertainment. Songs and dance used to start at any point in the film amidst pots, colours and oranges. I have done all that in this film, so all my wishes are fulfilled," she told.

Vidya started her career with "Parineeta", an adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's book. After that she did glamorous roles in "Heyy Babyy" and "Kismet Konnection", but her fans liked her more in movies like "No One Killed Jessica".

This is not for the first time that Vidya is doing something unconventional. Even in "Ishqiya", she played a woman who oozes sensuality and mouthed expletives to make her role convincing.

She seems to be experimenting further in that direction with "The Dirty Picture", which is releasing Dec 2. In the movie, she will be seen romancing Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor.

After "The Dirty Picture", Vidya has Sujoy Ghosh's "Kahaani" opposite Emraan.

Actor Shahid Kapoor is all eulogize for his "Mausam" co-star Sonam Kapoor and called her "special".

"I think Sonam is a great looking girl and she looks very simple and innocent. This is the reason why dad (actor-director Pankaj Kapur) was keen to cast her in 'Mausam'. In her forthcoming movie ('Players'), she is looking wonderful. I think she is always a special actress because I did 'Mausam' with her which was special to me," Shahid said journalists at the Colgate Maxfresh party.

Despite link-up rumors, Shahid is single ever since he broke off with Kareena Kapoor in 2007.

Some news even claims he is commitment phobic. But the actor answered, "That I am commitment phobic? No, I am not commitment phobic. I don't react to most things."

Amitabh enjoys every moment of the granddaughter company!

What is keeping superstar Amitabh Bachchan busy these days? He seems to be spending time with his new-born granddaughter, and tells that looking at her sleeping calmly makes his heart fill with joy.

"She sleeps through most of the day except for feeds and has been most obedient and well behaved! Ha ha ha," Amitabh wrote on his blog.

"The moments spent with her even though one encounters shut eyes, are the most pleasant and fulfilling, but what after. I think there is an indication here to take up vocations that one has always wanted to pursue - that music lesson, language ... reading to catch up...and on," he wrote.

The 69-year-old also thanked his fans for showering their love and suggestion for her 'naam karan' (naming ceremony).

"To all those that have sent and continue to send names for the 'little one', gracious gracious thanks ... we will select soon," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Randeep Hooda is ready to take lessons from Virender Sehwag for 'Heroine'?

For his role of the cricketer in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Heroine", Randeep Hooda has determined to take assistance and tips from cricketer Virender Sehwag to make his character credible.

"That's right!" accepts Randeep. "I've asked Virender to give me one of his bats which I'd be using in 'Heroine'. He has kindly agreed to do."

He adds, "I've to tell you. I'm very excited about this role because like every Indian boy, I played cricket in school and college. Then when Sehwag became national champ, Haryana's chest swelled with pride. Now by playing a cricketer, I feel I am fulfilling a dream that Sehwag has already fulfilled for us."

Randeep and his acting mentor Naseeruddin Shah trooped down to the Wankhede Stadium to watch Sehwag play in the India-West Indies Test match.

After the match, Randeep spent precious time studying his cricketing idol.

"It was an awesome moment, my acting mentor Naseer besides me and my cricket idol on the field...I've always felt a deep affinity to Virender Sehwag. We're both Jats from Haryana. And we're both self-made, I in my own humble way, he, of course, on a much larger scale. Just watching him on the field is so inspiring.", he further added.

"Virender is not just a great batsman, he's an entertainer on the field. I firmly believe whether you're an actor or cricketer, you've to entertain people in your field. I think Virender does that very well," he told.

Randeep not only admits Sehwag would be the role model for his performance, he would also be using Virender's bat!!

SRK replaces Salman in ‘Kanchana’?

Reports has it that, Tamil actor-director Lawrence is all set to direct Shahrukh Khan in his Bollywood debut, the remake of the south indian hit film Kanchana.

If news is to be believed, it was Salman Khan who was earlier approached for the movie.

But now, it’s going to be SRK’s movie. Sanjay Dutt will also have a major role to essay, along with the lead actor.

At last, overcoming all problems, Madhur Bhandarkar’s much talked about film, Heroine, went on floors on 26th November. The movie stars Kareena Kapoor in the lead role, Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami.

The director is blogged about the movie on the first day of the shoot.

“Today I start shooting for my next project, Heroine. Am I excited, nervous or ecstatic? Actually, I am very calm because movie making is one thing that comes very naturally to me. I am happy for sure, as always, to be on the next project and work after months of brainstorming. But my day has begun with a silent prayer for the victims of 26/11.” Bhandarkar said.

“Heroine is a very contemporary subject of today’s time. It has different premises and different strata that I am going to deal with here. This movie, like all my other movies, is a mix of facts and fiction,” Bhandarkar posted.

Salman does copy rival SRK’s pose!

Salman Khan’s advertising poster for his team, Mumbai Heroes is something very similar to that of his competitor Shahrukh Khan’s smash hit ‘Chak De India’s’ promotional poster. Just like SRK, Salman Khan is also seen standing in the center with his team behind him.

Talking to a website, a publicity designer told, “At first sight, the poster indeed looks similar, but it’s not the stars` fault. Design team should have done the research and come up with something new.”

However, Atul Mohan, a film critic, had something else to say. He told, “I would say it’s nothing but a coincidence as you can’t think of much creative designs with 11 team members and one face who is the captain or the brand ambassador. The creative has to look serious and one can’t afford to have funny creative in the name of being different.”

The matches are scheduled to be held on January 13 and 14, 2012, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Hrithik Roshan skips first schedule of Krrish 3 due to his backache!

The first schedule of Krrish 3, which begins on December 1, will not have Hrithik Roshan participate in it.

Well, the reason why Hrithik wouldn’t be a part of his dad’s home production is his backache. The actor has been advised by his doctor
to avoid any kind of action sequences.

A source close to the film told, “The first schedule of Krrish 3 required Hrithik to do many stunts. It was initially planned for 30 days but now it has reduced to 20 days. Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra and Kangna Ranaut will shoot for this period.”
