Playing the lovable but not world shrewdly Micheal Pinto, Prateik ‘s kind hearted and caring character in UTV Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s My Friend Pinto takes a leaf out of veteran celebrity Raj Kapoor’s persona.
Playing a musician in this slice-of-life film, directed by debutante Raaghav Dar, Prateik’s character is reminiscent of the legendary Raj Kapoor, and is almost a contemporary follow-up to the legend's characters in movies like Jaagte Raho (1956) and Awaara (1951).
Director Raaghav Dar tells, “In the film, Prateik has acted the way Raj Kapoor's characters might have done in a modern setting. Plus, I find his acting skills -like the way he uses his eyes -to be very similar to that of Raj Kapoor's,“ adds Raaghav.
